Question about what the heck that little snap on the seat is for?
Can someone please tell me what that little magnetic snap on the side of our seats is for? At first I thought maybe power for the lumbar, but that still works when it is not attached. Auburnwar01, I am going to steal one of your pics since one, love the inside of your car :thumbup , and two, you got a good shot of it down in the bottom right of your picture.

In someone's interior pics, (don't remember who, maybe in the red interior thread, or the IUP thread) they had the lap belt being held in that strap, but I tried it and it doesn't hold as well as I'd like.
If someone can figure this out, we'd all appreciated an answer.
There are a few things that are not printed anywhere......... The bottom of the cupholder comes out, so you can hold a larger drink. If you hold the menu button on your stereo, turn on the RDS (?), you can set it up so it shows the radio station, song name, etc. (I think that is how I did it). There are others, but I can't think of anything else right now..........:hearton:
Would it have been to much to ask that my salesman could have pointed out these little gadgets!!

Yeah, really! I would have never thought to use that strip for a seat belt holder... Learn something new everyday... Speaking of, is there an actual trunk release button in the car or are the only ways to open it from the remote or by key?

Wow, thats neat about the seatbelt thing. I almost have to be a contortionist when I drive the car reaching back there to get the belt. I'll try it tonight when hubby brings the car home. Also, I agree there should be a trunk release other than on the key fob.
Still don't have mine yet, but from what I've read, there is no interior trunk release. My 94 had one in the glove box, but since then I guess going to standard keyless entry, the assumption is that everyone will use the remote.
Yeah, my '01 Mustang had the trunk release in the glove box too... I have read everything and didn't see that there was one... Not that I really need it (I do use the remote the most, even in my old '01), but I just thought that it was odd not to have one...

When all else fails, read the Owners Manual, page 85.
Now, can someone tell what those little things that look like lights in the Map Light Box. They are on either side, rear corners. I have the Anti-Theft package and figure maybe those are the motion detectors. Anyone else?

Yep....that little strap is for holding the seat belt restraint to a position where it is retrievable. Both my wife and I own 2005 Mustangs, hers is a coupe, my a convertible...and in both the strap does not hold at all...Seems to pop off. We have both resorted to not using it....I am planning on contacting the dealer to see what they say.
Also have seen numerous postings on the Shaker 1000 stereo...I have that in my car. Any thoughts on the quality of this? I love the sound, but sure hope I don't have to have this thing continually serviced.

Yes. That's what they are.
