Default Could this be some good news for people waiting out there for their Mustangs ?

From this article (CNN):
http://money.cnn.com/2005/03/11/pf/a...ex.htm?cnn=yes

It basically says that Ford is halting production of the T-Bird and it says that
"Ford will now concentrate on its new Mustang sports car, which had its convertible version unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in January."

Maybe it will not produce results immediately, but if Ford is diverting its production towards the Mustang, it can't be a bad news anyway, isn't it ?

The T Bird is off of the Lincoln LS chassis. They are made @ Wixom assembly. They also assemble some of the Ford GT (40). I doubt that they could change over to making Mustangs any time soon. It would be nice though. It looks like the Tbirds will be made until July. I think what they mean is that they will focus their marketing on the Mustang convertible. I love the new Mustang, it is a hot car, but eventually the supply will catch up with demand. It may well be the next model year, but they'll catch up.
