My 05' GT doesnt have the IUP. I looked at an aftermarket product from The Dash Kit Store.com that have molded pieces that fit over the existing dash parts. They have many selections of colors or you can go with chrome to match original interior(around the gauges) Has anyone had any experience with them and are they any good?

I hope the kits are good.
I just ordered the 5 piece oem factory match kit ( $110 ).
I have the interior sport appearance package and the IUP door sills, so I think the 5 piece kit will look good.
Personally, I had a dabble with it. I put the kit on, a day later I started wishing i didn't, like I just defaced my new car. I ripped it off. Was happy to see that it didn't damage the origanal dash at all. (i didn't use the 3m solution, that would hurt the plastic) Sure was an expensive experiment, money could have gone to the mufflers I wanted instead, (finally have now) Honestly you may love it, but I KNEW it wasn't real, and felt a little cheap to do it on my proud GT.
You know, everyone, the stock interior REALLY is great. It's spatan and maybe a little plain, but it also personifies and amplifies what the car is about. POWER. I figured if I really wanted a lexus, I should have baught one. But, this is only one guys opinion.
But, to answer your actual question. Yes the install is very easy, but take your time. I suggest starting at the airbag, turn the pieces around a few times, make sure you have the right side up. When you apply pressure, do it flat, if you rub "bubbles" out, do it from the center out. The quality, hmmm. It looks good for what it is, just know that the surface in some areas may be higher than you want, and be careful of scratching it while installing, TAKE YOUR TIME.
And if you decide to remove any of it, the sooner the better, and if you get antsy late at night, wishing you didn't do it, get out there right away! Use a hair drier to make it more flexable, and peel, slowly... SLOWLY! You will have it back to stock without damage. If you don't use the solution, it WILL still stick. The plastic in the stang isn't SUPER slicker smooth, there is enough natural scoring for the adhesive to work just fine. Kinda cool, you can have a different dash every year. Alum, wood, carbon.
Did you get the woodview kit as SS inserts sells or some other brand? I am probably going to get the 5 piece upgrade also before I get the whole kit so if I hate it im only out 100 v/s 300 bucks.
I hope the kits are good.

Received and installed today.
I like it.
I'll post pics soon.
I purchased my 16 pcs kit (actually has 17 pieces) from www.wooddashexperts.com. It is a Woodview 05XA-MUSTG SATIN NICKEL. It retails for $320 but they sell for $192 plus shipping ($14.99). I installed it in about 1.5 hours. If you want some tips on installing, let me know.
The first picture is before the installation of the kit.

RLedoux, That looks pretty good! I wonder what the "double brushed" looks like...hmmmm, I guess I'll have to order to find out. Also, this was a "MOLDED" kit right? Not that flat crap?

dear God.
I hate to be a downer, but I'm not a fan. It was cooler without the top half modified.
Actually it's a flat kit. I would have ordered the more expensive option from Ford, but my Mustang was on the lot. One dealer informed me that they install a lot of the dash upgrades themselves, so that got me looking for a kit and Woodview seemed to be a popular one. The satin nickel is supposed to be the same as the factory finish..
