Not in Tucson but if you get the urge to drive to Phoenix I highly recommend Julians ProTint in Tempe! They came highly recommended to me and I gotta say their work is first class.

I will also be looking for a tinter in Minneapolis. Is the tint-scratching still an issue?

Julians uses SolarGard tint exclusively. My car was tinted with 38% on the front side windows and 13% on the back windows. I don't recall the specific price I paid but I think it was around $130. A lot of my decision process was based on a phone conversation I had with them and several of their competitors. With the competitors they'd put me on hold repeatedly, have conversations with others while I'm on the phone with them, and avoid answering some of my questions. When I talked with the guys at Julians they talked to me straight, didn't multi-task or two-time me, and gave me a good overall impression of them.

Default Tucson Tinting

Hi Insane One,
I have a V6, Auto, Windveil Blue, Leather Seats, Sports Interior Upgrade, Shaker 500 and went to Trimco (22nd Street near Swan).

The first tint job had some bubbles that you could see dust specs in on the back window.

I took it in yesterday to only have that re-done and they did all the windows again under warranty.

That would usually be a good thing but today I see some scratches on the passenger side window. Not bad but I can see them. My guess is some sand (we love Tucson, though, right?) got in the window seal and is the culprit. The irony is the side windows were fine before they got re-done.

If anyone knows of a solution to the scratches please let me know. I used a cotton cue tip and cleaned the inside sill so hopefully the problem will not get worse.

I paid about $145 for the work.

Trimco are good people and have done tinting for 15 years plus that I know of. I believe it is their core business.

If you decide to go that route let me know -- maybe we can both get some sort of discount.

Yes. Be sure they add felt to the inside window channel.
