Default XM Radio

I've installed XM radio in my 'stang, but I have to admit I'm not pleased with the way it turned out. I don't want to install anything on the dash, as I like the way it looks just from the factory. So, I put the radio in the center console, using the power outlet there. I put the satellite antenna in the rear window. The wires are hidden and the FM receiver works well.

But, the power supply in the console isn't switched with the ignition, it's always "hot". If I forget to turn off my XM radio, it stays on. Any suggestions on where to get a "switched" power supply for the radio?

Probably gonna have to run it to the fuse box in order to get a switched source or perhaps you could install a "toggle" switch mounted somewhere you can easily see and remember to switch it off..

Over the weekend I installed an accessory plug behind my dash for my XM radio. Using an "Add-a-fuse" I tied it to an ignition-on fuse I located in the fuse box. So now when I turn the ignition on, the XM radio (which now has auto-on enabled) also turns on.

Which lead did you use from the fuse box? Any pics, please?

Although my 05' has not arrived, I did install my XM in my current car in a way that it always has power. I do have to turn it on when I get in my car, however there is a setting on the newer XM radios that allows for an automatic power off after 30 minutes. This may be a pain if you drive consitentley more then 30 minutes on the way to work, but if not, it works great.
