Did you find a solution to get the signal into the Shaker system through the OEM wiring harness/Aux port? Or did you use an inline FM modulator? I plan to install my Sirius system in my GT, but would like a better solution than the FM route.

Has anyone had Sirius or XM installed on there new stang. Im thinking about it, but i dont really wanna put in an aftermarket head unit.....
I went a different route with my Roady2. I mounted it up near the headliner on the front of the convenience light console. Its up high, out of the way, yet still close enough that the built-in FM modulator works perfectly.

FM modulation is the only option as of now.Nobody has found a way to access the AUX port..Trust me, I have followed this VERY closely!.. I want to get the Sirius system, but really hate FM modulation
I put a Roady2 in. I attached a pic of how it is mounted and a pic of the antenna mount. Very minimal wire showing, I think it came out pretty good.
I have an XM Roady 2 also. Mounted antenna in the same place as wifewantedaGT. I didn't mount the unit, though and just keep the unit in the cupholder. Ran the wires through the console between the seats. FM modulator works okay.
I installed a JVC Sirius unit in my Mustang in March and I modified the car kit mount. I attached it to the right side trim next to the radio and I place the antenna on the rear package shelf (I secured it with some Velcro). You rum the antenna cable along the rear of the package trqay then down the side panel, under the rear seat and the loosened and lifted up the center console and ran the cable to the unit. I also ran the pwoer cord thru the and under the center console into the center console compartment where there is a aux. power point. I also had to installed a FM modulator onto the radio antenna cable, as I couldn't find a clear station, it also sounds alot better. I'll post pictures of the install if anyone wants to see what it looks like.
When we bought our car we got a $700 gift card to Best Buy! Sweet! One of the things I bought was a MyFi XM player. I put the small magnet antenna on the center of the truck lid up by the glass. I ran the wire under the seats and up to the middle console. The thing sits inside the console and uses the power plug in there. I like it because it's out of sight, but still easy to use. We take it in all our cars and it is a pretty neat system. Until we replace the head unit or someone figures out a way to use the aux this is the best idea we had.
I installed the XM SkyFi2 in both of our Mustangs. Mounted between the center AC vents. I tried the FM modulator but didn't like the sound at all (besides the fact some cities broadcast on all the available frequencies). I installed a PIE adapter #XM6-FRD04. This allows you to install the XM receiver and connect to the AUX input. Powers the XM so you don't need 12 volt plug and line out to the stereo. I just hit the AUX button and it is connected to the Shaker. Works great so far.
I used the Kenwood ez900SR with built in Siruis and HD radio. This is the way to go if you want a clean install and no other unit to install. It sounds awesome because there is no FM modulation and has a clean look. The HD radio is also a + for the price, i paid $500 last year.
