hey everyone, i am in a bad situation...I ordered my mustang in the first week of january this year with the expectation that i would be able to have it AT LEAST by June...I wasnt asking much, i thought i could at least have the car 6 months for the order date but it doesnt look like that is going to happen. I just called my dealer today after reading about everyones getting changed to the 06 model which wont be producing untill august... I need one before that because my car in an ideal world is going to someone in the middle of june... I am very willing to get one from anywhere in the country, how do i look up inventory of dealerships all around the country, any info would be great. thanks a lot...

Sorry to say it but whenever i check the inventory on my nearest dealer its WRONG!! Says theres 9 or 10 stangs when there is really only 3. Mabey its just the few dealers around me, but i dont think they update it like they should. Im sure your dealer will find the closest match for you and have it drop shipped to there dealership, after all it padds they're pockets quicker. With your situation if you really want an 05 you might have to give up an option or 2 but Its worth it man. ITS A STANG, and a badass one at that. Good luck in your search. let me know how it goes. I feel your pain I ordered in Feb and just called today and it says as of apr 23 your unit has been produced. OMG, BEST NEWS IN THE WORLD GOOD LUCK BRO.
My sympathy, I was in the same boat (see SOB STORY). I called Fred-Fred and although he doesn't have a silver one for me, I will be getting the next dealer stock coming in which is redfire ( V8 Vert). Fred can see inventories through the dealer pages which is a hell of a lot easier than you looking through the consumer side.. I notice that a lot of dealers in texas quit updating a few weeks ago, just leaving the last cars in online inventory like a commercial to get you to call or come in.. check the Fred-Fred thread and get his number- he's a nice guy and a rarity- honest and caring in the Ford world! Let me get this straight. You bought a car from them in October and it had been registered in June so you lost 4 months of warranty? First of all if the car was registered in June its a used car. Second if it was not pre-registered its a new car with the full 36 month warranty. Any way you look at it either they lied to you about it being a used car or they boned you on the warranty if what it looks like happened. If so both issues need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau and you should find a lawyer to sue and publicize these sleazebags for what they are. Somehow I don't think all the details are in your post. Lets hear how it all went down. What was the car advertised as, new or used? What does the June vs. Oct date mean? Was it a salesmans demo car? What questions did you ask regarding status of the car? New/Used/Demo? If the basics of what you say are true these guys are in deep s#@t. Lets hear what transpired in this deal- for real.

Stillalive2029, I was in the kind of in the same boat. I had ordered a car from a dealer close to where I live and they had told me that I should have the car with in 8 weeks. I was really happy to hear that. They told me everything the day I ordered it that I wanted to hear. Then they got my money for the order and low and behold they would not reply to my e mails and forget about a call. When I would get to speak with the dealer/fleet manager I was working with he was rude and had no idea what good customer service was. Heck he didn’t even lie to me well. Need less to say I went else where I placed an order on 4/5/04 and by 4/8/05 had a VIN and a few days later a build week. In fact my car is supposed to be built this week according to the 800 IVR and the 800 Customer service line it should be delivered to the dealer ship on 5/21/05. And it gets better not only did the new guy get me the car I wanted he is selling it to me with the x plan. I have a friend that is a GM at the local ford dealership and he could not believe what this other dealership could do. You may ask why I did not go through my friend well they are selling their Mustangs for 5-6K over sticker and everyone they get they have pre-sold so I just was not willing to pay the mark up and the owner was not willing to loose the extra $$$ can’t say I blame him. If you would like the info on my dealer let me know. If any one else reading this would like the info just P.M me and I will give it to you.

I have an order supposed tobe build this week also, but i found one finally last week.I got it thursday same options but came with shaker 1000.
what should i do with my order i gave them $500. bucks down? I think they will give it back cause i got the car $1300 under msrp so they will be hAPPY TO MAKE MORE ON SOMBODY ELSE. CAN I DO AN AUTION OR SOMETHING? OR SHOULD I JUST CANCEL IT ,I WOULD LIKE TO HELP SOMEONE OUT IF I COULD. any ideas?
