Yes, those are mud flaps. They are just $5.00 part store and you can barely see them.

Forgot to add: The color is a dark charcoal gray with about the same
metal flake count as the paint.
About 50% more matte then the factory paint.
Looks great in the sun and very suttle at night unlees you are under a street lamp.

So you went with the painted stripes. I thought about it... but I was afraid I would not like the stripes after awhile so I went with vinyl. Yours looks really nice...I admire your commitment. I'll post pics of mine sometime. Didn't want to do it here...this is your thread. Looks good :thumbsup

Yes, It is 1/4 " wide pinstripe tape.

From Pep Boys. There are 2 kinds of tape
$5.00 & &10.00 a roll. The 5 stuff is like hard plastic, of no use for this purpose.
This is best done on a warm day in inderect sun light. Clean lens well.
Start at the bottom inside and work your way around. Go WIDE in the corners. The wide sweep at the curves will look better if you do.Add vertical stripes last.
Use a NEW razor and cut them a little long "just on" the horizontal stripes, eventually the vynil will shrink back, this way there is no gaps.

Dig them stripes on the mineral grey. I was thinking of going plain ole black on mine, but not so sure after seein that. Man, thats hot!

This is def the best color car/stripe combo I have seen yet. 2 THUMBS UP TO YOU! YOU ARE THE MAN! The taillight mod is great to, I was thinking of what I could use and you came up with it, pinstripe! THANK YOU! Question, I have the sonic blue, do you think a chrome pinstripe would be tacky? Should I stick with the silver you used? Thanks and GREAT JOB MAN!
