Question What would like to see put in the next car?

Some of the things that I would like for the car to have:

1) When you turn the car on, the dash lights would display the MyColor you have selected and not the factory programed white.

2) The top power outlet either "switched" with the ignition and not "hot" all of the time OR have a switch that you could control which way you want the outlet to be powered.

3) Daytime running fog lights.

What would you like to see?

A small trunk release lever/switch inside the car. I'll think of more later.

1) Telescopic steering wheel along with a better tilt function.
2) 18x9 Bullit Wheel option with bigger tires
3) Delete Shaker stereo option
4) Power passenger seat option (same as driver's side)
5) Delete on IUP silver dash accents

I could say more, but let's see what everyone else comes up with....

I dislike people who use fog lights when they're in fog. Fog lights are very high intensity beams. If you use them in any conditions other than fog, then thats being very inconsiderate to other drivers IMHO.

I like the two suggestions:

18x9 Bullit Wheel option with bigger tires
side exhaust(but this wouldnt happen on a mass produced car, otherwise they would have to make all the stangs side exhaust)

I thought the "Fog" lights on the 2005 GT are truly fog lights except in name only. When I turn mine on, they fill in where the "low" beams are shinning and don't shine into the eyes of other drivers. Maybe I should let my wife drive Marcus and I drive her Civic and see for myself....Naw....I would rather drive the Mustang.

Great ideas folks...keep then coming.

Electronic temperature control
homelink
self dimming mirrors-inside and out
steering wheel radio controls, put cruise controls on a stalk
heated seats
put the gas cap in the rear of the car where the fake gascap/emblem is now (I know safety)
moonroof
white letter tires (would add to retro look)
Chrome bullitts

* Factory-painted stripe option.
* Re-working of the awkward-looking front turn signals.
* Different shift lever for the automatic -- the "t-handle" they have now is dorky! (Of course, it could be argued that getting an automatic transmission in a Mustang is, by definition, dorky!)

1. Passenger seat raised about 2 inches

2. More detailed owner's manual (not some stupid CD that you can't use in the car)
3. Smaller outside mirrors
4. LED sequential Turn signals
5. Polished valve covers
6. Working Shaker 500
7. Rear differential options (4.10, 4.30)
8. Cup holder for passenger (not under my arm when I shift)
9. 140mph speed limit in Washington state

Thought I'd throw that last one in for fun.......

You have almost the exact car I ordered, except I deleted the spoiler. Do plan any red stripes?

Bad ideas:
Daytime running fog lights - turn them on if you want them on. lazy.
steering wheel radio controls, put cruise controls on a stalk - again laziness
Smaller outside mirrors - it would look nice but then you would cut people off 40% more.

Seconded ideas:
Chrome wheels
trunk release - only because the battery could die in the remote
Delete Shaker stereo option - Yeah I want a sony with iPod plugins
side exhaust option
white letter tires - no joke.. I think they would be hot.
Factory-painted stripe option (assumming you like thier options)
automatic transmission in a Mustang is, by definition, dorky! - agreed, I like the H shaped handle my self (looks more like an 'n')
Cup holder for passenger - NO JOKE... thanks for the trash holders ford. I put my drinks with a cap in the passenger seat.

My ideas:
Different factory hoods. i.e. the new cobra hood would look nice, and fix the hood flex problem.
Functioning side scoops.
factory louvers
Different seat coloring options. i.e. Yellow inlays.

Comments:
Passenger seat raised about 2 inches - who has passengers?
More detailed owner's manual - it's a car .. figure it out.

Come on people!!! Navigation system, electronic temperature control, telescoping steering wheel!!! What next, heated seats. I don't mean to be a wrench in the gears here but try and remember this car was designed to be a throwback the the 65-73 era Mustang Muscle car with some modern convienences, not a Saab or Cadillac luxury car. I love this car just the way it is, nothing more, nothing less. Alot of your ideas are great, don't get me wrong. I'm not bashing. If you wanted to push alot of buttons you bought the wrong car.

If you get lost, buy a map, if you get hot, roll the window down, if you can't reach the steering wheel, move the seat forward. Try and imagine yourself in the Ford showroom in 1968 looking at a Fastback GT. I don't think T-tops was one of the options. SUNROOF!!! Somebody please show me a picture of a 65-73 Mustang with a factory sunroof.
As you can see the only thing I wish they added was a trunk release inside the car. That's it!!!
