Ideas on what to add to a v6 to make it a contender in a car show
hey everyone im looking to either make my v6 really quick n able to race with some of the bigger badder cars out their n have a shot, or make it into a show car
since it's a v6 i figured i had better try to make it a show car since it is a v6 n not a GT but im not sure what i would need to do to it to give it an edge in a car show nay ideas on what i should do to it????
my budget is unlimited im just trying to get an idea on what parts (decals, vinals, tv's, systems, anything like that, proformance upgrades)

There are plenty of 6 show cars. Borla's sponsored several, and so has Vortech, Hot Wheels, and you can see more checking out the back issues of Mustang Mags.
If you want speed, go to moranav6racing.com SuperSix motorsports, or RPM mustangs. For the 4.0L check out Ranger boards, since the truck (with the same engine) is used in off-road racing.
Comp Cams has packages for the 4.0L and Vortech and ProChargers SC units are in development.

I have a similar question, I do have a limited budget, and I'm curious what immediate mods (minor albeit) I can make that I will get immediate performance boost. I know it's not a v8, but it's my first new car and I'm a poor college student, just want to be able to zip around a little better. I'm keeping an eye out for steeda's CAI for the v6 but any recommended exhaust or other small low budget tweaks anyone can think of?

C&L CAI, SCT Xcal2, FRPP exhaust.
Some cheap fun upgrades would be off of ebay. A shortie antenna for the radio is about $15 and really improves the look of the car. Valve stem covers with the pony logo are about $8. Nice license plate covers are $10 to $25 each, plus the cost of mounting hardware. A custom license plate here in California is only $40 more. I got a cobra type red leather gear shift knob to match the red leather interior - for about $15. It sits higher than the stock knob and I think it helps me a lot to shift accurately. Also, covers for the shock holes in the engine compartment dress it up a little for about $5 on ebay. Enjoy your V6 - its great!
