Smile V6 Mineral Grey upgraded GT Bullit wheels

Last night I swapped my 16" stock V6 wheels for 17" stock GT Bullits plus some cash. I'm so stoked, the guy had his own workshop in a barn in El Cajon. Had a powerlift, and did the swap for me, torqued the tires, got a good luck under the car. They feel sweet on the road and I have more control than the 16"s. The tires alone are $100-120 each, so I think I got excellent deal. Plan to get 18"s down the road, but keep these for a while. See pictures inmy gallery for comparison.

Welcome to the club... I upgraded my stockers a short while back with aftermarket 17's and bigger tires. It very much changes the ride characteristics. The ride is much smoother and more dialed-in than with the stock tires.

Before I answer, I considered that the stock V6's have little, if any, demand. Why? 1) Only fits 2005, 2)Why would a V6 owner look to upgrade from 16" standard V6 wheels to 16" deluxe V6 wheels? & 3)05 V6 stock wheels are everywhere on e-bay.
To trade them in was more of an advantage, because I have no extra space to keep them, and it was a bargaining chip to lower the cost of the original starting bid on e-bay. Contacted seller directly and worked out a deal without e-bay involved. Bottom line I got these Bullits $100 a wheel. Tires alone are $400-480. Plus I didn't have to pay shipping or install!

Looks good, I see that you painted the calipers. As soon as I saw the wheels go on, I thought about painted the calipers as they stand out more vs. the stock V6. I want to paint them red, but the wife likes blue. I think she's going to lose this battle.
