Driving sane after, get pulled over(?) Where's your front licence plate? With zero hesitation told him I'm waiting for a special order bracket from ford. He asked me to step out of the car and SHOW him. Said the dealer should not have released the car without mounting it. I told him special bracket requires no holes and mounts atop lower grill. Pure B.S.
Told me it's a $110.00 (canadian) fine. I was so polite and humble. He let me go! Now I have this feeling the "no plate" ride is coming to an end. Gonna have to do something.
While still driving around with the paper plates, I get stopped at a road block, the cop says? "Where is your front plate"? I tell him that I still have the temporary paper plate on the back and I don't have anything for the front yet. He probably felt kind of dumb. I can't stand even talking to them, so as soon as I got the real plates I put them on. I don't want to give them any reason to stop me. I just can't even stand talking to them, or even looking at them up close... not to mention, it's like a $150.00 ticket here in Washington.
Why invite a reason for a cop to pull you over and hassle you? It may the one time your late for an event or worse you had a couple belts under you. I basically don't drink so w/e but, I have smoked plates on mine and they really make the plates "disappear".
Regarding the law, lot's of peeps hate 'em but, they are the only thing keeping the POS garbage people from raping your girlfreind and jacking you every day. They get sh!t for pay and can take a bullet any day on the job. I have had run ins with rogue cops and still have respect for the most of them. Just leave my Pony alone occifur.

Where can you buy the front plate holder without the drillin? Also, I'm not sure if my dealer is going to just drill it without letting me know....do anydealers just take it into their own hands?

Mine came with 4each pilot holes drilled, the dealer said they "had to" do it. I then had them install my plates as I was in for TSB anyways. Smoked plastic cover, black frames, black bolts, looks as good as it can without going lawless.

I AM A COP AND WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR REMARKS TO THE POS GARBAGE PERSON YOU WERE REPLYING TO. I CAN PRETTY MUCH GUARANTEE THAT THAT WAS NOT THAT DIRTBAGS FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. TO POS GARBAGE PERSON...YOU DON'T GET TO CHOOSE WHICH LAWS ARE O.K. TO BREAK.
Tonight I was given a warning about not having a front license plate. The police officier told me that its $100.00 fine if I don't have a front plate. I politely told the police officier that I am still not putting on a front license plate because it will cover over and ruin my racing stripes. He said ok and walked back to his police motorcycle. I am good friends with this police officier and also work with him, he was just giving me a hard time. He did tell me nice car though.
I'm still deciding if I want to put the front one on when I get mine. I do cause I got so sick of getting pulled over all the time in my ZX2 for the window tint and neons. Then there the part of me that doesn't want to drill holes in the front bumper. I guess I'll just put it on the dash inside cause that seems to work for people in my area.

So about a week ago I was driving to the mall, gonig about 50 in a 40. So not realy speeding and got pulled over. I'm a college student so he like shinned that damn light in my eyes and the whole 9 yard. And come to find out he pulled me over because my dealer tag expired. But I told him, I have a temp tag in the back window. He was telling me that my back window was foged up and he could not see it so he could have given me a ticket, he said. He told me to keep the back window from fogging up and let me go. Realy WTF, KEEP THE BACK WINDOW FROM FOGGING UP!!!
Let's see if I GOT THIS - You were speeding 10 over, had an out of date tag on the rear, had the one in the window blocked, and the officer still let you off anyway? Yet you hate him, because he turned his light on you. Can't imagine why he would do that, just because police officers are getting shot and killed during routine traffic stops! What would you feel about him if he had given you a ticket, which you so rightly deserved. I agree, if your car gets stolen, don't bother reporting it, you hate those guys that just may find it for you!

Most cops I ever met were pretty cool. Yeah sure, there are a few bad apples, but overall... If you treat them with the respect they deserve, 9 times out of 10 they will return it to you. I've been pulled over a few times, some for bs reasons, & some for good ones. Once I got pulled over (only ticket I ever got) for doing 50 in a 30. First time I'd ever seen a motorcycle cop.
He pulled me over & asked if I knew what the speed limit was. I said quite honestly "no sir, I dont... I was looking for the signs but couldnt see any." Which was true. He says "well, what do you think it is?" to which I replied "40." Then he tells me it was 30 & he clocked me at 50something (I was trying to pass a guy, bein late for class). I'd guess because my record was clean or whatnot, he only wrote me up for 40 in a 30... but I didnt feel it was a bad experience with em... he was just doing his job.
People that blame the cops for everything are the same people that blame the computer techs for their mistakes... & as a former tech (programmer now) we don't much like them types either.
