Does anyone know what the spoiler is made of on the 05 GT? Is it plastic? Has anyone done any modifications to the spoiler itself?

Reason I am asking, I would like to have a Sirius antenna molded into the spoiler and not sitting on my precious car body? Do they make a satellite antenna spoiler? Is the current spoiler hollow inside?

Any pictures of a "opened" spoiler would be greately appreciated.

Have my spoiler in the garage. It is plastic, hollow, flimsy, and weighs about the same as a can of beer.

I have an XM radio with the antenna mounted on the rear deck (inside the car) after reading another post where the guy did the same thing. I know that they tell you it needs to be mounted outside, but I get better reception with it mounted inside than I did on my 99 vert mounted on the trunk lid. I just put a piece of velcro on the antenna and stuck it to the material on the rear deck and ran the wire into the trunk. The Terk antenna is very small and black (reminds you of a miniature computer mouse) and like you said is not mounted on the outside.

I have sirius and I just put the antenna on the dashboard tucked way up in there under the windshield, you can hardly see it from inside or out and the reception is great. I tried the rear deck but somehow the window tint and defrost wiring must be interfering with it because I get nothing.

I tried putting the antenna in the rear window but I too think the window tint interferes. I have the dark "Limo" tinting on the rear window.



I ended up putting the antenna on the rear deck lid. It works great but I was looking for something a little more secure and unnoticeable.
