Saw a news program last night that a central Florida sheriff's department now has 2 Mustang GT's on the road for catching drag racers and speeders. The Mustangs look like regular Mustangs until they turn on all their flashing lights(all hidden). They normally write 120 tickets a month, the Mustangs have been in use for 3 days now and they have already written 100 tickets. So if your tooling around in central Florida be careful, the Mustang you might want to race may be driven by a deputy. The 2 they showed looked to be silver and really looked neat with all the lights flashing, sequential turn signals and all.
OH CRAP FOR ME, I HAVE ALREADY HAD 2 TIX IN LIKE A MONTH, ONE IN JAX AND ON FRI NIGHT COMING DOWN ORANGE ave LATE AT NIGHT. what news prog. im in orlando too, ch 13 im assuming. got i hope they dont get me, everytime i get a new mod i go tear up the streets and i get soooooo scared of them cops. i also have to drive down 33rd every day so i really have to watch it.
where in orlando are you, what shop(s) do you use.
well fellows unfortunately the news gets worse. They are also FHP using the new GT's as undercover vehicles in Miami and Ft Lauderdale. Luckily I wasnt the one caught speeding but Did see a brand new Charger pulled over on the Turnpike. Heads up all over Florida for these guys. I know these guys are also using Mercury Muarders , Jeep Cherokees and Ford F150s . Keep a look out they trying to get sneaky with us. Good luck.
If the cop instigates it, is it entrapment? I know it would be word vs. vord but in principle?

yea, I heard this morning on the John Boy and Billy radio show, that police caught a guy in Bocca Roton for passing one of their troupers, the guy was doing over 115 mph when passing the mustang and the trouper caught him in no time. You guys better watch out! these guys mean bussiness. lol
The news program I saw was about deputies in seminole county and I guess they have been pulling people over gight and left.I live down by Orlando International, haven't heard if Orange county has any but I do know they have F150's and Explorers unmarked, have seen many pulled over by the unmarked cars.
I live in Seminole County and I've been lookin for these guys but haven't seen them yet. I've only seen a couple of other 05s and they were V6s. I just bought my Redfire GT Conv and I haven't seen any GT Conv running around up here yet.
Was on my way to work in St. Pete this morning, I pulled out into IH275 and rolled a little heavy on the throttle to merge (God I love that feel!!!). I looked over and saw a ST. Pete cop in the far right lane...he pulled along side and gave me a thumbs up..then dogged me to run with him. What could I do but obey the nice police officer!? I pulled ahead a couple of car lengths and backed off until he rolled up, then he signalled to slow down a little. Seems as if they are motorheads too and sometimes are decent guys. Haven't seen the State boys driving Stangs on this side of the state yet.

I love that merge onto 275 also! Especially when I 375 to get onto it. Some nice curves on that stretch of road. FOr the most part, I don't even see any cops on my daily drive, and if I do, they're FHP, but usually have someone else pulled over. Once you get on the Howard Frankland, though, kinda hard for them to catch you!
I am in the Gainesville area and have only seen the Mauraders and F-150s around here. The F150 was a complete shocker though!! I have been lucky myself, as doing 80 on a State Road, one passed me up the other day.Phew!!! I am planning a trip to Homestead in November for the NASCAR race, so I will keep a definate heads up then especially! I get more looks at the car than worrying about a ticket. Had an undercover in a Maurader scare the beegeesious out of me when he whipped a Uie the weekend of 4th of July, thought was gonna pull me for some stupid reason, but smelled my butt for a bit and then got some fresh air and got a guy going the other way. I am really curious about the Mustang rear end bc soooo many people love to be all over it...Yeah Right!!! Not for long if I have anything to do with it. The students are starting to come back also, so now I will definately see a lot more officers on duty. What really sucks is that we've got County, City, and University Police. What fun.

I love 275, about a month ago I was on my way to Tampa from Port Charlotte going through the toll bridge, I had mine going 120'ish over the bridge with nobody around..
