Default Any way to get DORA info besides dealer?

I ordered an '06 in June, and got a VOC while at the dealership. I've been trying to get a DORA from them for a while now. I finally got them to tell me the order number over the phone, so I checked the ERL and I'm C/U. However, I'd like to confirm the options on the DORA to make sure everything is correct. My dealer isn't close, and hasn't been very helpful. Is there any other way to get the DORA info from the order number, dealer code, etc.?

Thanks,
Nick Wright

Everything I've ever read says no, only your dealer can get you the DORA. I would keep pressing them on it... tell them you've heard horror stories about people orders coming in all wrong to the customer but the dealer would pull out the DORA and show the right car came in, and had the customer seen the DORA they would have known the order was wrong. See what they say.

Good luck
Dave

When you ordered your car (assuming your dealer actually did order the car) the dealer put the order in there computer - this creates a VOC - vehicle order confirmation. If you haven't agreed to a price yet some dealers dont like giving these out as the invoice and MSRP prices are listed. VOC has dealer code, order number, and all info about options you ordered. A few days later the dealer gets a DORA - Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement. This will be dated the same day as the VOC and will again list all the order details. Dealer uses this to make sure that FORD has the order correct.
You should get the VOC and DORA if you can. - For one thing it makes sure the order is correct.
I will add this - use the search feature on the forum here, and read back through old posts. You will learn a ton. :thumbsup

Does this sound right the sales manager at my dealership looks over the Dora's on the computer and then makes a note of them in his log or what ever and then deletes them off the computer so I can't get mine. but he did show where he made a note of mine. should I be ok just going off the VOC to make sure my order is correct

All I ever got from Carlos at Yeomans was my VOC, and everything came out perfect on the car. I had a DORA on my first order that 4 months later I found out there was no allocation for. Go figure. Be persistent and get it anyway.

you are 100% correct!!!!!!!

harass the gm or dealer to death, non stop.

when we order a car with the customer they get a retail sheet on the spot. one to sign that the equip is 100% and one to keep.
