just the way I wanted it. (1 of 113)
OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
Our Company, 2NRCARZ, phonetic for "Tuner Cars", has introduced a new design rear louver for '94 - '08 Mustangs, called Aerofinz. In addition to unique individually mounted "finz", each set is customized in unlimited color and design choices, on two sides, allowing for a completely different look in only minutes! Our inclusive kit includes a full window template for ease of installation and Industrial/Commercial grade attaching materials far superior to traditional automotive attaching tapes. We even include a special (not simply alcohol) preparation wipe, necessary for proper bonding to glass.
Hello all,
I bought my set from a member of another forum based out of Katy, TX. Anyway, he didn't have the instructions or a template for mounting the top hinges. I've searched their installation to death and I more or less have an idea. But, I can't seem to figure out how the non-hinged brackets are oriented (the ones that sit on the top outer edges) or what their purpose is.
I called the people at MRT but they wanted me buy the installation kit for $50! It basically includes all the brackets, I already have and the template. I told them that it seemed a bit excessive for me to fork over 50 bucks for the brackets I already own and a piece of paper that only costs them 50 cents to produce, if even that.
I asked the person for the 3M part number that they used for their kit. I guess she felt my pain because she offered to send me some on the slide. I thanked her and now I'm waiting.
So, can someone post pics of how these brackets are supposed to be mounted?
Thanks in advance,
Here's a left & right side with the louvers down.
I can get a pic with the louvers up tomorrow if needed.
The 2 upper outer mounts just hold down the upper corners of the louvers. The louvers go under the clips.
Aircare84,
Those are great pics! Thank you for posting them up. That's the only way I figured they would go but the louvers coming down and "tucking in" underneath was not something I could get my mind around. The previous owner even placed a small piece of tape inside/under the contact "tab". The wear on the louver's edge is barely noticeable. So, just line up the outer edges of the both bracket and louver and taper down, eh?
Hey, nice ride BTW. It looks like I'm heading in the same direction you're at now. Just need the chin spoiler and grille now...
Thanks again,

The outer upper brackets pretty much just fit to the edges of the glass top & side.
Post some pics when you get yours installed. Also, be sure you wait 24hrs after installing the brackets before you mount the louvers, this allows the 3M tape to 'cure' to full strength.
And be careful when you lower the louvers, I've already bent one of the tabs on mine not paying attention.
