That's too bad but glad you're ok. Perhaps there's an 06 in your future?

as everyone else says- very sorry to see, but at least you walked away.

silly question for anyone- IF you have IUP and side airbags are the sensors in the doors? just wondering aloud if you opened your door hard into something if you'd be buying a 500dollar airbag to go along with the dent?

Sixty seconds of silence, in memory of your girl, or first incarnation thereof. Starting ... now.

Nothing burns me more than when these 'mouth-brethers' think they can blow a stop sign thinking they're saving their precious time. Knowing you're OK and came out of it alright, I was wondering if your car had the side air bags?

Oh *man*!!! Those pictures look so painful.

I bet the SoccerMom thought her husband cried when he heard about the accident because he was so relived she wasn't hurt.

He's thinking "Such a [sob] beautiful car! Why did my cow have to hit a new Mustang?!?! I should make her steer from the front bumper."

Glad you are not hurt! I have twice seen people blowing the stop signs right near my place and thought of what a nice way it would be to get rid of the Taurus. [squealing tires and... CRUNCH!] "Oh! My back! The only thing that will make it feel better are lumbar supports... under leather. Oh the pain! A mustang would make me feel better. My doctor said to get the cat-backs and call him in the morning."

Mustang: Like Lithium, Prosac, Tylenol and Viagra, all rolled into one. Makes you feel better, kills the pain of a long day and when you hit the gas? Your pants get tight. Like the Good Charlotte song "Girls and Boys goes... Girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money."

How are you dealing with it? I think "gutted" sounds so appropriate! God, I think we all felt a little of that, on seeing the photos. While, in the long run, we all know nothing replaces your life and you really *can* get another car. I am sure *mister* mercedes will feel the right thing to do is make up the difference between what the insurance gives and the price of a new one. If he has any balls at all, that is!

Unhappy

Thanks for the kind words guys! They had to use hydraulics to get me out of the car, that explains the destroyed dog leg....I had a pretty serious head injury, short memory loss, headaches, and my body aches still...Believe it or not my Stang HAS side impact air bags, but they didn't deploy!!!! No idea why,if that crash didn't do it,I don't know what would...I had Mary Jane fixed, she is back with me now in my garage, but she will never be the same...I'm in contact with my Ford guy to order a stripe delete black 2007 GT500....I guess there is a silver lining here...ANYTHING but my Mustang! Cool legion! I bought mine off the showroom at Herb Chambers, maybe you got yours there too! We should take the girls out for a ride one night! I see how many heads turn at just her,I can only imagine with 2 !

Oh yeah,I forgot to add I got rear ended TWICE that day within an hour of each other! A lady at Dunks drive thru wasn't paying attention and she rolled right into my rear bumper! So I get out of the car, exchange info and say to her, " you know what would be nice? A F'IN APOLOGY!!!!!!" This all happened on Halloween, had to open 2 insurance claims,WTF....
