I love Lenny Kravits "Where are we Running" from the Baptism CD. That was the first song I listened to when I picked up my GT.
Would love to get a CD copy of the Chris Classic mash of Nazareth's "Hair of the Dog" song that Dodge used in the Charger commercials. That song kicks some butt.

hey, fast beat, no discernable lyrics, and vaguely mechanical sounds. Sounds like the soundtrack to any post-bullitt chase scene

So far, a lot of songs have been posted that are great songs to drive to, that make us want to drive our stangs fast, so I have one more, that most probably are very familiar with. Im in my early thirties, so I grew up watching the TV show, Miami Vice. In several of the episodes, there was a song played called "Chase," when Don Johnson was chasing some cars, while in his Ferrari. It's nothing but instrumental music, but it makes me wanna rip the street up while I'm driving. You can find the song on the original soundtrack of "Miami Vice." Great little song.
I can't keep from pushin' the pedal when Led Zeppelin's "Wearing and Tearing" is on. Also, My Chemical Romance's "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)"!.
Pretty much ANY Zeppelin song is going to make my foot heavy. I have every one of their albums in MP3 on two discs in the player at all times. Lately though I've been more alternative when racing...Modest Mouse and She Wants Revenge type stuff.

"Pretty Vegas" by INXS
There's another good one on their new album Switch called "Hot Girls" that's pretty good for driving fast too. Sexist as hell, but good nonetheless.
Also:
"Dragula" by Rob Zombie
"California Dreaming" techno remix
"I Like It" by Narcotic Thrust
Mijk Van Dijk's song "Ray of Sunshine" [on iTunes]. It's very techno and entirely instrumental, I think. Play the sample on iTunes and see if it doesn't make you want to drive fast, just sitting there, at your computer.
Wish I could find the "Rays of Sunshine" from Nitto's website video.
I, like probably all Mustang owners, love to just listen to the engine roar when I put my foot down or drag someone. But i also love to listen to music that just makes me wanna go fast...so heres my question. What songs do you like to listen to when your either driving fast in a race or alone? whatever pumps you up!
For myself i love the song "walk away" by the Nadas. (its the theme song to that SPEED network show Pinks...the one they play at the end when a guy loses his car.)
Yup, you're right: We all love the roar of our engines - we all have that in common. Looking at the various responses to your post, one thing for certain we do not have in common is our music. Talking about diverse selections; Wow and that's great!!

I'm and old fart. So here is part of my list:
Highway Star-Deep Purple
Spacestation #5-Montrose
On the Run-Pink Floyd
Moonlight Sonata-Beethoven
Just kidding about the last one. I'm not that old!!
I would have to add "She sells Sanctuary" by the Cult, There's just something about the opening that makes me want to put my windows down and the the right foot with it!
If i could add another summer, windows down, cruisung song... Van Halen's "Dancing in the Streets".
