Yes, I was kidding, the Air and Wax comment was a joke, the service advisor did not think it was funny when I told him .....
sincitystang, I did save the parts, but the items that they are complaining about is things like Spectre Steel Braided Hose sleaves or covers, Mid west auto Plenum cover and my Pioneer AVIC-D1 Navigation Radio. Come on Cosmetic parts ??
and if that dam radio causes the engine to malfunction, well I don't want a car that unreliable or sensative. They don't know how to fix it and they are crasping at straws
kscoyote, How do I contact the regional rep ??
tw0scoops123, They replaced the PCM, Alternator and Sensors.
WITELITENIN, A third Dealer is my next step, I have given each dealer service department two chances to resolve the issue and win over all my future business for that dealer, so far I am 0 for 2.... so maybe three's the charm....

Humboldt Stang, No Problem, any time...
Every dealer is dealing with the regional rep. The rep is going to look at the 1st dealer's comments when making a decision. You should be able to ask the service dept for his or her number.
If they won't give it to you, contact the number in your owner's manual.

Well after almost a month, replacement of my Alternator, PCM, Cam sensors, and the Camshaft phaser gear, no more codes
I find two things strange on the service order, first off they charged me to remove my steel braided fuel line second thing is that they state that the Camshaft phaser gear was binding, my question is what was causing it to bind????
Also says that they replaced the right camshaft phaser gear, yet they list a sensor and gasket on the invoice, BTW I told them to replace the cam position sensors two weeks ago, before the PCM replacment.
Anyway I seems to be working fine, will road test more today.
Glad to hear that your story has a happy ending. I bought my car used from CarMax and have about another week left to purchase the extended warranty they offer. The thought of the waranty being voided by aftermarket parts has kept me from buying it so far.
The June 2006 issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords has an article entitled "Your Mustang warranty and the law: A conflict of self interests" that has good info on this topic for anyone who finds themselves facing a situation similar to yours.

I'm lucky.......the president of the club I belong to is a Service Tech at the dealership that sponsers our club. And the dealership is also a Ford Racing Parts dealer....plus...they build race mustangs. So they dont mind doing warranty work on modded mustangs.
I think some of these guys are right. Find a dealership that sales Saleen, Roush, Shelbys and such.......they are used to dealing with the mods. They understand mustang enthusiasts.

I would imagine "Tim the Toolman Taylor" faced this many times. The manufacturer of your home air conditioner would not warrantee the air handler and compressor after you made some "adjustments" to make it better. Also, the same for ROLEX. Change the hands and several of the "little wheels" and you might have a problem. Accept you knowingly changed the rules of the game and now will have to take responsibility for this and live with the consequences.
I would imagine you are seeking support for your "adjustments" to the original product, but I think you are atanding on the corner and there are peanuts all around you and the parade has passsed you by.
Which dealer do you use? Kings? I went by there a few weeks ago and they seemd fine with warrentee work on the mods too. I haven't done any yet but the service manager said that Ford would have to PROVE that any mods CAUSED the problem in order for them to sya no to athe warrentee.
Hope the sun shines around here again some time soon....

WHAT???? The sun is suppose to shine here? wow.....who knew? lol
Scott....the dealer that sponsers our club is Champion Ford in northern Kentucky. And they also built and run the #10 mustang in Grand-Am racing.
King's Ford is where I bought my GT. They are also a Roush and Saleen dealer. I talked to them about installing a supercharger when i bought the car and they told me i should hold off for a bit because Saleen, Roush and Ford would all be coming out with superchargers before year's end. The owner of King's drives a Ford GT and the finace manager drives a Roush. I know King's Ford is into the mod scene and should be ok with about anything we bring in.....within reason that is.
The club holds our monthly meetings at the the Ford Training Center there on Montgomery Rd. and the guys that work there are always checking out our cars and asking questions about our latest mods. This is a very "RACE" oriented club.....so the mods are abundant.
