You will not be able to buy a new shelby for less than 20K over MSRP. Most dealers are only getting one or two. Many dealers have already sold them before they are even availiable. BTW, welcome to AFM. In your quest for a GT500, good luck! But be prepared to pay out the nose....

I was 9th on the list at a dealership here in Va Beach. If you haven't placed a deposit for one already, you're not going to be able to get one any time soon. They are all spoken for as of April 1st. I didn't place my deposit for several reasons. The big thing is the ~70 grand price tag that they will have. Good luck on the search though. I plan to snatch up a repossessed one, because with a tag like that, there are bound to be a few here and there.

There are a couple of dealers on ebay offering a GT500 for as low as $5K over MSRP. And I thought I even saw one that was offering one at MSRP, but I do not remember the details on that one. Realistically speaking, good luck dude in finding a dealer willing to part with a Shelby for less that $15K-$20K over MSRP. The demand is way too high and the supply is way too low. The first year is going to be either pricey (as we all are seeing) or simple near impossible in getting one. If you really want a Shelby, start working on getting a 2008 Model. Or keep you eyes open for when some of the rich boys are tired of playing with their newly acquired GT500 and they resell them on ebay.
I was 3rd on the list at a local Ga. dlrship. They called about 3 weeks back to tell me that they had a gt500 serialized for Aug or Sept. delivery. Unfortunetly, I was also told that the price would be msrp + $15k. I told them to call the next in line.
Does anyone know where I can order the above car thru a dealer with no or minimum markup over MSRP.
To get on a list now is nearly impossible, but at my home town dealership the saleman said he had to be certified, and now is, just waiting to for Ford to hear more, just need to get a machanic here to be certified, and may have a good chance to get one here. Not heard of anyone here as interested as I am, but of corse I have a passion for Stangs, and my husband said I could up grade from a GT to a Cobra, well the Shelby is the new Cobra, right.
OK dude listen up heres how to get a free one get 80.000 worth of 0% interest credit cards buy the shelby with it ok . as the 0% interest expires balance transfer to another card if youre smooth as old silk you dont even have a payment so if they are giving you free money it dont matter what it cost bought my gt this way and plan on doing the challenger next
