Question Has anyone seen an UNDERSTATED aftermarket shift knob?

I am interested in getting a plain black leather or wood shift knob for my '06 GT.I intend to keep the stock shifter.I have searched online and have only found carbon fiber and other blingy looking knobs(not my style).Does anyone know of a manufacturer who has a plain knob out? Question 2----- I have read on this forum, quite a while ago, that the thread on the shifter shaft has changed for the '05 and '06 cars.If it is a standard size thread I can turn my own ebony knob and inset the proper size nut.Does anyone know if the shaft has a relatively standard thread?

the thread pattern on 96-04 mustangs is 12mmx1.75 and the new mustangs are 12mmx1.25

I prefer plain knobs as well, and the only ones I would tolerate are these...
