Anyone have suggestions on aftermarket shiftknobs? I know that the stock shift knob has the boot hooked up to it. If you replace the shiftknob with an aftermarket one how does the boot hold up? Anyone have pics of a Momo or something like that on their 05 or 06?
BTW, i saw the hurst ball and its cool, but i'm looking for something in a leather wrapped with chrome or silver.

i went with the Pomello Sphere Leather..
i couldn't find it on their site tho
very similar to the sphere as per their site
smaller ball type with a single chrome ring and chrome cap
drops it nicely to where it "might" almost feel like a short-shifter
makes it easier to find 3rd
sorry, been playing with the wife's civic again (women and their shows cars...sheesh, now she wants a 15" in the dash) so haven't had a chance to take any pics let alone mess with my boot yet
so it looks ok, and feels good? I use to have a sparco sphere in my vette and i loved it, but i wanted something that would match the interiour of the S197. thanks for the info.

i think i might order the momo, i always liked the feel of their knobs...but does it look ok in the interiour? or does it look like it belongs or does it stick out? i would appriciate a pic...thanks

$80 US seems pretty steep IMO..
as for the boot....
put boot on w/o knob installed as if installing it into center console..
install knob..
pull boot over knob as if turning it inside out and slap a plastic tie on there nice and tight..
pull boot down again as if installing it..
i'll take a couple more pics tomorrow in case my destructions aren't followable
