Default Window tint issues with a company hired by the dealer. Help!!

Hello all,
I had tint installed by a place the dealership hired. They got the darn leather seats stained with the solution they use. They told me to get some Armor-All leather wipes and clean it up. They dont cover seats there for some reason. I am not going to do that. Then I called the dealership and told them what I found. They "couldn't believe it" they "never had a problem before and they do all the work for us". Type of crap they all say.
The car was done on friday the 12th. I got at the dealership @ 10am. Didn't get the car back until 5:30pm. I work a 3rd shift and the car they gave me had only 1/4 tank left. I live 45min away and wanted to sleep. That didn't happen. I was up for 30hrs.

Why did this happen to me? On a new car.

Thank,
Adam

I would go postal!!! I'd make sure they had a full sales floor and then start complaining LOUDLY!! I'd tell the dealership to not to fix the new seat but to replace the seat!

if you do anything at all...make sure you pee on their floor, in front of young children and tell them that's how babies are made

I think we can all "feel your pain". The "tint" company was it a sub-contractor to the dealer? Did you pay the dealer or outside company? Did the seat get cleaned? If the seat did not get cleaned to your satifaction, you being a reasonable person, you would hold responsible, I would imagine, primarily the people you paid to do the job. If it was the outside contractor - recommended by the dealer - than you could ask the dealer to intercede for you, but do not ask the dealer to cover their liability on the job. The way it sounds rereading your post it is an outside contractor the dealer uses.
I hope it has been fixed, as it seems you are quite busy and frustrating when you try to do something for yourself and it gets screwed up. You have years of fun ahead - enjoy.

If the Dealership hired them, the Dealership is responsible for fixing the problem, if they can't get the stain out, make them replace them.
Like some parts in the Mustangs are not built by Ford, but they still have the responsibility to replace them if something goes wrong with them, NOT the company who supplied them.
If they reccomended the tint place to you and you paid the tint place for the work, that's a different story. Then the tint place is liable to you.

The dealership is going to refund me the 200 dollars that they were going to give me to have the work done on my own time. The place they hired is going to call me and set a time to have the seats cleaned and have the tint removed. I called FORD. They really didn't help. They were going to have the seats cleaned at a dealership in my town. Then they called the dealership I bought the car from and voted in the dealerships favor. They (the place I bought the car) got repromanded (pardon spell). So, some good came of it.
The copy of my complaint went to the Owner of the company (Tom Wood) and the Customer service manager at the dealership.

Thanks to all,
Adam
