Default 2007 shelby GT500 engine failures?

Ok rumor has it that the new Shelby GT500 may be delayed to an alleged crankshaft problem....sources say that the weight of the new dampner (26 pounds) combined with the stress of the supercharger crank is causing too much stress on the crankshaft's snout....I wonder if this is why Ford delayed the numbers on hp/torque....colors,etc....plus on cnn.com dealers are marking up the prices $20,000 and people are paying for it? Gee isn't the rumor to not buy the first new model year of a new car true again? I would love to have this car but with issues and the markup I think I will be keeping my 89 GT

Read this on www.blueovalnews.com a few weeks ago and when they print something, it's pretty much always true. They could probably easily fix this problem buy using the Ford GT's dampner instead or they could design some sort of crank snout brace like a lot of drag cars use.

I'm surprised they don't have a crank snout brace on them already. Just seems like a good idea.

Im sure they will just use the Ford GT's part and send it out the door after durability test.
