nice one ford...they say the gt500kr will arrive to challenge the new camaro and the new challenger....so ummmm...that "regular" gt500 is conceding defeat already? awesome...so lets ponder this a moment dudes and dudettes...are they really gonna market a next level 60000 buck gt500 by sayin you can battle chevys 30-40000 buck camaro or dodges 30-40000 dollar challenger? interestin...cause i thought they were takin aim at the z06....now heres where it gets good...if camaro and challenger rise from the ashes with over 400hp to join the goat in the 400 club yet stay under 40 grand(which is likely cause any higher and that cuts into z06 territory for chevy)then of all the muscle cars goin...my beloved mustang gt becomes the all around underdog...only capable of whippin ricers?
apparently horsepower for ford takes a bit more money than horsepower for chevy...i'm sorry...i'm a mustang guy... but thats true....its disgustin that the gt500 is lookin to "challenge" a challenger...know what i mean sincity? our gt is prolly 30000 bucks less than that gt500 is gonna be...if i spend 30000 grand in mods i wanna start challengin ferraris and lambos...that gt500 is such a ripoff
Your right, basically if you take the markup factor of the GT500, then its the only car with 500 HP in its price range. Isnt sticker on those things under 40? thats a bargain if you ask me, but of course there are gonna be a frenzy of buying them and all those guys who have the $$$$. I would just mod a GT to be as fast or faster....for 10-15K, you can make your GT just as fast or even faster, buts its still a GT and not a Shelby....if that matters to you, then wait for the shelby to go down in price....kinda like the 03-04 cobras right now..i've seen some in the low 20s
