Thumbs down AVOID Mustang Tuning for customer service!

Mustang Tuning.com after market parts dealer is the WORST for returns or customer service. There are too many parts dealers out there to use these guys again and I suggest you do NOT use them unless you are POSITIVE you will not have to send the item back. I sent back a part un-opened in the original box and got a return authorization no. from them for shipping. It was the only time they answered the phone. My UPS tracking showed they received it on May 8th. In the last 2 weeks I have left 3 voice mails (they either do not answer or you will be on hold forever) and sent 2 emails asking where my credit is and how much, and NO return calls or emails. What kind of customer service is that? So this morning I called to dispute the charges on my credit card. Oh, beware too, on their return policy, it states a whopping 15% re-stocking fee minimum.

Yeah we all know they suck. To bad you didn't see all the nasty threads on here about them. I just hope in the future people will read these and learn from them.

Sites like Mustang Tuning totally ruin the experience of going aftermarket. Especially when people shell out so much for these parts and are wary in the first place about modding.

Thanks Twoscoops for the info. I am fairly new to the Mustang world and did not know there were previous threads also complaining about Mustang Tuning. I will never shop there again. Too many scams.

Yeah when in doubt ask every1 on AFM. You can usually find someone who has bought from some website.

I've used them a few times and had no problems, actually i got their parts fairly quick. I think i just got good luck on that one if so many others have had problems.

Try and return something to them and see what happens. As of today it has been 16 days since they received the item back and still no credit back. Thank goodness for credit card companies that take care of that crap. NEVER pay cash for a big item as you have NO protection.

Totally agree. They suck. I had to dispute the louvers I bought from them because they were coming apart.

They tried to blame it on UPS. But when I received the package there was no damage. The louvers are just plain garbage. I ended up having to dispute it with my credit card company as well. Ended up not paying a dime.

Yeah....agreed ..... Mustang Tuning sucks...... I have them banned over at our website. A lot of our members got burned from Mustang Tuning and will never buy from them again. AFM should remove them as a sponsor in my opinion.

Thanks Leon for your info too. That is amazing and I agree with your statement. I still have no no action or reply on their part as of 5/26/2006. But as of today my c/c company is posting a credit back to me and I will just let the two of them hassle with it. Glad I did not send them a check!

Mustang tuning is awesome.I know alot of the guy's from there and have bought over $2500 worth of stuff from them.I have never had a problem and niether has 1000's of other people.

Im sorry you have had this issue with your return. As of late we have been working on changing things around on how returns are handled, as well as the time that it takes to get returns credited back. We recently have gone and hired someone to be full time for returns, as well as have brought more people onto the phones in order to keep hold times down.

The voicemails thing does concern me, and I will be speaking with my staff about that. I do know that they do go through them every day, but why nobody has responded to you puzzles me.

If you can, send me your order number and your last name. I'll see to it that the 15% as well as the shipping charges are dropped for a restocking fee for your order since you were not credited back within the 10 working day minimum.

We are trying to improve our phone system and keep hold times down by hiring more people, so hopefully some of the problems you were experiencing will be solved in the near future.

Well there you go...

I have no experience with the above cpy but I do know a few in the buisness... It is very hard to keep up with everything... these are mostly small places with one or two employees, often with a running garage or manufacturing hall... they cannot afford not to work so communications has to suffer...

I'm on my friends in the buisness about CS all the time! I've even said I'm sure I can sell your products for 10% more with the diff I give good, promt service and answer all calls, e-mails, etc... They believe me but know I would not make the dinner!

I'm glad though they step to the plate when it gets too bad! Like above!

They are standup guy's and Chris always does what he say's.He will get to the bottom of it and fix what happened.This is the only thread I've seen to not like MT.And I'm a member and moderator on alot of boards!!
