I noticed lately that I get revved on and tailgated by other S197 GT's. I dont know why because most of these guys probably have the same mods as me. Yesterday i was turning in to a parking lot and a Roush came up on my tail and did a flyby FULL THROTTLE?!!? I was like WTF??? What happend to thumbs up with fellow stangs?:thumbsup When I owned my Vette, i never got this....or even my Camaro....it was always from Stangers.... I just hate showing off on the street...way too dangerous..esp here in Vegas..people here drive nuts!

Same here... Just tonight an 06 V6 came along side at a light. Guy didn't even look over. He took off like a bat out of hell at the green and I just let him go. Guess he has a GT kill story! Good for him.

what the hell was that guy thinkin? s197 v6 against s197 gt?...maybe he raced away thinkin you were gonna harass him...prolly had his gal in his car and didnt wanna be embarassed.
I know what ya mean sincity. I get the same thing sometimes, and my GT doesn't look or sound modded, I guess because it aint! About two weeks ago some snot nosed knucklehead spent about three hours on the main drag not to far from my house challanging everybody and their cat and dog. I don't know what his mods were, but he sounded loud. My first trip out and about that day was in my Ranger so he didn't bother me. But I kinda forgot about him, and after about an hour my wife and I left the house for a drive up north just to enjoy the stang. That little SOB spun around right in the middle of the street and came up along side and started reving. He revved me all the way to the next stop light. I sh!* you not I have a CCW and almost never leave home without something. This a$$hole almost got a brand new mod in his rear quarter panel from me that day. What a jacka$$

yea I made a thread about this a while ago. I find that other Stang owners are complete a**holes around here. I will always look over to give the thumbs up, usually only to realize the p*rick in the other car looking straight ahead pretending not to notice my car.

Well now fellow stang owners you know why people feel the way they do and stereotype Stang owners.
I got this rom stangs all the time when I had other sports cars. Also not, its just a Stang... no special club there, its not a vette and they are everywhere every day so dont expect a wave or thumbs up. Not everyone is an enthusiast, they just want a fast flashy sports car and the Mustang is the cheapest way to get it. Then they act the part of having a fast flashy car.

It has to do with "SELF IMAGE". Either you are happy within yourself and your accomplishments, or you have a "sign" you carry and wave in peoples face that says "Here I am". People who ride with ther windows down and the radio really cranked up so all can hear THEIR music and their bass kickers also are in the same catagory.
I went on a poker run with a local Mustang club here in Denver a month ago.As an auto enthusiast it was prolly the most fun I've ever had.We drove up to Estes Park and south to Golden Gate Canyon and onto Golden. Lots of curves and beautiful spring weather made the trip a competitive club event.Starting out at the Shelby Collection up in Boulder,CO really got us fired up. Poco
I haven't had any "attitude" from fellow stangers in the Twin Cities but I have to agree VintageV8, some people are just A**H***s no matter what car they drive. I always give a wave to other stangs, or anyone who gives the car a thumbs up and I've always got a wave back...but that's not to say the next person I come across in a Stang won't give me the finger becasue they're having a horrible day or are just a dick...On a side note: Their are a lot of car shows (back to the 60's, 70's, ect...) about 1 mile from where I live (State Fair grounds for the Minnesotan's out there) and all the guys/gals in the classic stangs' are always cool about cars and I've pulled over at least 5 times to talk cars with them and they all love the look of the new stang, and I can't get enough of their old school cars :thumbsup

Pulled up next to a Mustang GT at a light the other day. My son asked if I was going to try to beat it off of the line. My reply was "why-we are supposed to be 'brothers' and we probably have the same engine if they haven't modified anything" We both played nice and all was well in the land of Mustang. The End!(I just don't get the rude Stang owners)

I had an idiot do that to me in a school zone! The speed limit is 15 mhp when children are present and this ahole wanted to run, he had a fox 5.0 lx with a supercharger. I was like, do you want to kill someone or get arrested

For me I didn't buy the Mustang to race. I bought it because I gave up the cars I really wanted to drive when I was young in order to raise my family, and now I am an "empty nester" and have the time and money to continue where I left off thirty years ago with "my" kind of ride. I just hate to see the local cemetary littered with idiots, and their not so lucky innocent victims of a stupid race on city streets. There now, there is my rant, and I'm sticking to it!
Rant about other S197 stangers 
and all of the carpet baggers that have moved there in the last few years.........
