Can you believe it, old reliable, FedEx, lost my new 14" Baer brakes. I recently ordered 14" Baer brakes for all four corners. The rear brakes were essentially rotors and caliper brackets, where the front brakes were the complete set up. the brakes were shipped in two boxes from Pennsylvania on May 15. Bot h boxes made it to Sacramento, CA by May 19. Then one box (the rear brakes only) made it to me on the scheduled delivery day of May 20; but my front brakes have utterly disappeared. I checked with FedEx, as far as their records show, it is still in the Sacramento Facility, but they can not find them. I bet some Fedex employee has just acquired a free pair of Baer 14" brakes!!!!
I called the seller, he is making a claim and sending me a new pair, but they are out of stock until June 9 (or so), then have to ship them to me. Let me tell you, patience is not my strong suit!!
I finally got my Saleen suspension kit in after waiting nearly a month. Now I have to wait even longer to get my brakes in before I can finish the job. Damn waiting sucks.
Well, it would be a different story if Fedex had delivered the box, left it on my porch and then the package disappeared. But in this case, FedEx has simply not delivered that particular box. that box is lost somewhere in the Ozone, for FedEx has no idea where it is right now. So much for the slogan 'when it absolutely needs to be therre..." I was hoping to have my brakes and suspension installed before my next show on June 8...NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!

Well, if they left it on your porch and then it disappeard, then you would be out the brakes and the money.

You are all correct. The seller, CJ Pony Parts, does not have a problem sending me a new set of brakes, without charging me for a new set. They are making the claim with FedEx. So yes in the end, all will be well, but for the meantime, I am severely disappointed in FedEx. Just it is very frustrating wating, especially since CJ Pony Parts is out of stock on the brakes for at least another week or so. Oh well, I am trying to convince myself that the final result will be well worth the wait.
All my stuff finally did come, but fedex really trashed the box and busted open a bottle of brake fluid. Must have been recent because most of the fluid was still in the container.
I must be crazy, for it appears I am again trusting Fedex. I just ordered my powder coated valve covers from Brad. He is sending them to me via FedEx and they are due in today, but FedEx is not instilling confidence with me. I checked the online tracking, and although the tracking information indicates the package is due today (June 3), the tracking inofrmation does not show where the package is. The package is coming from FL, but the only information given is the scheduled delivery date and the fact the shipping info has been transmitted to FedEx. If FedEx looses this package, this could be a problem. My valve covers are on the exchange program - meaning when I get the powder coated ones in, I send back my stock ones so they can be powder coated for the next person on the list. I am not going to be a happy camper if the package does not arrive.
thats a real bummer man. Ive never had a single problem with UPS (There at my house atleast 4-5 times a weeK for me or my brother or family) and i sent stuff UPS 99% percent of time when i need to ship things. Only had one problem when i goofed the address and they call me and they found a similar one to confirm it was the right one
Ive used fedex but with no problems but i rarely use them hop everything turns out ok

looks like I have some work to do tomorrow.
what is that, some kind of brake fluid fungus growing?

Fed-Ex air is ok but stay away from Fed-Ex ground. They are the old RPS guys. They`re paid by the box so they`re not the most enthusiastic guys out there.
Would you believe I had an electric guitar shipped to me damage. SAME FENDER GUITAR FOUR TIMES. I went from FedEx to UPS and all four times it came damage. Finally I took the Guitar and had it fixed by a dealer.
They are good and they also can mess up. I doubt some employee would take brakes, not knowing what they would fit. A Guitar is a little different and is marketable.
Also had an expensive Blender lost, and then it was replaced by the company. Actually I found out later it was DESTROYED in shipping. The bad part is we are waiting for our shipment to use or install and we get thrown off schedule.
Well it appears CJ Pony Parts (the seller) has replaced the brakes sooner than expected. The new brakes will be in on Sat. June 10. Finally, after a month for Saleen to deliver my suspension and now a month for my Baer brakes, I will be able to get it in the shop and finish the look up. Let me tell you, patience is not my strong suit. It will be my luck a week after my brakes come in, FedEx will find the first shipmetn and then deliver them to me. I am still waiting for FedEx to delvier my newly powder coated valve covers. Damn, did I mention patienc eis not my strong suit.
Patience my ass! you say? that's too bad, leads to too much stress in life. Me I'm Mr. Melow after surviving cancer, been to close to death too worry about the little ****. I have to deal with late parts all of the time, all the frustration in the world won't get them here any sooner:thumbsup
