I have an amusing kill story to share. My work is having an employee car show today, so of course I am bringing the Stang to work. I get on the freeway, and immediatley notice the the '06 GTO cruising in the fast lane. I get next to him, we both check out each other's rides, nod to each other, then the race is on. The valiant GTO gave it her all, while my galant Stang held her own. There were many moments that it was too close to call, for some moments it appear the goat would prevail, but then other moments it appeared the pony was unbeatable. there was even one moment when the goat inched by that I may have to bow down to the mighty goat, but in the end, the valiant effort of the GTO just did not have what it takes to best the thundering hooves of the Pony car, the pony beat the goat by a good car length. When the race was over, the goat bowed down and took the next exit, but not before giving the tumbs up to the thundering pony.
A 1/2 mile past the race, was a CHP sitting on the side watching the traffic go by, unbeknownst to him, a grand race of brute force, raw power and pure horsepower just concluded. As I passed the CHP by, I smiled in his direction.
This is not the end of the story, for as I passed the noble officer, a Toyota Prius (econo car) wanted to man up and flex his might. He came up on my rear fast furious like, he then changed lanes and blows by me like I am going in reverse. Just to note, I was already at 70 MPH. I looked his way and smiled to myself, knowing the that the noble CHP was still in sight. If I had endulged the Prius' delight, the CHP and I would soon make our acquaintices. However, true to the spirit of any fine officer, the CHP came charging up, flew by me and chased down that oh so hot rodded Prius. Now, although the Prius may claim to have a Mustang kill, he now has the ticket to back up his tale.
As I cruised past the Prius, as he sat on the side of the freeway sharing information with California's Finest, I smiled and gave him my thumbs up. :thumbsup
I Hate GM, deal with it.

That's way too funny. I drive the Interstate freeways around here a lot and those Prius's are always doing 10-20 over the speed limit. I guess they figure that they're saving so much money on fuel and doing the right thing by being green, that they can burn all that fuel they're saving...... :thumbsup
Great story & no offense....... but........racing on the freeway is dangerous for all of us and the more Stangs that get popped, the more they will watch us!
I know I get the itch sometimes too, I only race after I've been drinking (kidding).....save it for the track and keep the streets safe in Cali!!

Though I am waiting from my 07 GT Vert, I had something funny happen to me with this clown in his BMW sportster vert. I was in my Lebaron Vert, and he was just cutting all off. So I just backed up and said, there is a ticket waiting for you with your name on it down the road.
Well several mins later, a FST (Florida State Trouper) :lock nab his butt with that good old invitation to the court house. As I passed him and the FHP, i yelled out GOOD FOR YOU, WRITE HIM A COUPLE .
In the end he was way behind us. Oh, I thought now his mommy will beat his A$$ up for running her car, and insurance increase. (Speeding, Improper Lane Change, Jumping Lights and being an A$$ Hole)
And when mama ain't happy, there's no body happy, so...............
Pontiac is scrapping the GTO either this year or in 07 due to low sales, or did I just imagine I read that somewhere?
The main reason for this demise is its uglyness and price. You gotta admit this car's chasis and powertrain is pretty darn good. If GM would be smart they would put the LS2/T56/IRS onto something else that costs between 25-30K and keep the weight around 3600 lbs. Maybe i'm asking too much but is this hard to accomplish? Maybe they can use the CTS chasis and make something out of it.
