I finally ordered my new Stang today and I already can't wait for it to arrive. I got the X-Plan pricing and a great salesman to boot. I had to opt for the automatic trans since my wife has to be able to drive it and she hates manual. Oh well it is still a great car even if I can't bang the gears.

I already have about $3k in upgrades I want to do when she arrives. I have this problem everytime I get something new. I just can't leave them stock.

This is my first "Ordered" car so I wanted all the bells and whistles. I would not have gone so nuts if it were not for the X-Plan pricing. It allowed me to get mental and still stay within budget.

I did ask about mats and my salesman said they came standard. I did not like the all weather mats, they look like they belong in a Jeep.

Do you have an est. delivery date?

Im hoping that my wife will let me order one soon. My dealer said he wouldn't do X-Plan, only 500 below MSRP. Looks like it's time to go dealer shopping.

No delivery date yet, I am sure it will not even be in the Ford Ordering System until next week. The salesman said they are a high volume high allocation dealer so getting them is not a problem. He estimated August but I am thinking September earliest. I hope he is right!!

I would definitely shop other dealers, I am sure you can get the X-Plan pricing elsewhere. I am dealing with the Fleet Manager at my dealer, maybe you can go that route. Also I would post for dealer recommendations on a few of the boards. I am sure someone got one in your area and could point you in the right direction. Good Luck.

I got my 06 in Sept 05, so thats about right for the 07's that just started building them last week

Yea waiting sucks. In the meanwhile I will be riding my ST1300 everyday (now the daily driver) and collecting parts for the GT's arrival.

Well look at it this way, you should be able to stockpile quite a bit before that car payment kicks in! In the meantime, you'll just have to live vicariously through us.

Sounds like a nice ride,congrats! I thought the wait would kill me! My son and I got to unwrap her when she was delivered. That was cool. Don't feel bad about the automatic thing-these cars rock no matter what! Congrats again!
