Default East European Newbie needs help

Hello everyone from bulgaria (in eastern europe)...

I am planning to be one of the first people to import the 2007 Mustang GT in my country and as such i need your help as it is almost impossible to find brochures/information on the car. My local Ford dealer is especially useless, as they do not sell US cars but can help me in acquiring one from the states.

So i have some questions for u , and would be glad to get some answers:

1) The image i have attached , can you tell me which colour is this. is it tungsten grey , or satin silver mettalic? the pic is from some auto show so many of you should recognize it straight away?

2) My car will be with an auto transmission , and i would like to add the optional power package (which apparantly raises about to 325bhp???), is it possible to get it with an auto box.

3) I would also like to order Remote ignition, which i know can only be specced if your car is an auto. But does it go ok with the power package?

4) The racing stripes, as seen in my attachment, can they be ordered straight from the factory, or do they have to be glued on by my local dealer?

5) The power package and remote ignition, can be ordered on a brand new car , or do they have to be installed separetely?
6) Do you have the links for the above two, as i seem to have lost them.. they were somewhere on fordaccesories.com

MANY MANY thanks in advance

Welcome to the site. I don't have a vast amount of information personally about the questions you have. I do have contact information for a respectable dealer on the East Coast of the USA that should be able to assist you though. From your posts I can see that you have a firm grasp on the English language so communicating with them should not be too hard. http://ford.haleyauto.com/Department-New.aspx there's a link to a webpage that has the contact info for their sales department. Good luck and if you have any further questions, please feel free to post up here at AFM.

1. Car is tungsten with satin silver stripes.
2. Power Pack from Ford Racing Performance Parts is not a factory option. Can be installed by you or your dealer if they know anything about American V8's. Doesn't matter manual or auto. Might affect warranty, but you probably won't have that anyway.
3. Not sure. Don't think this is a factory option, but someone with an auto can clarify.
4. The only factory installed stripes (le mans style) are on the Shelby GT500. Dealer can install, or you can order online and DIY.
5. Again, not sure about the remote start, but power packs are not a factory option.
6. 2007 Order guide is linked here
7. Satin applique is light brushed aluminum. Charcoal applique is very dark gray, with a simulated carbon fiber finish.
8. The wheels are 18" 'fanblades'. I believe the order code is 64E. The 18" polished bullits are 64W.

Is that in US dollars? WOW!!!!! My hats off to you for wanting a Mustang that bad. I must admit, I would have caved and chozen a BMW or Mercedes for that price. Although, maybe you will start a trend, and all of eastern europe will want one. Just imagine a great European Cruise night...man wouldn't that be a blast.

Just a thought, I guess with rarity of a Mustang GT and the price, I bet a Mustang GT would be considered an exotic in your part of the world...similar to an American getting a Ferrari or such. well, welcome to the world of American Muscle. I hope all the Ferrari, Mercedees and BMW owners get jealous of you for having the coolest car of them all. Do you guys have speed limits on your highways or are you similar to Germany and have no speed limit on the highways (or autobahns)?

thanks for the nice words mate

i used to own 5 bmws, and we used to have 2XMerc S600s in the family so im pretty much used to nice cars... I always dreamt of a muscle car, so this is what im getting...

I have a police permit so i can pretty much speed anywhere without a problem, otherwise its 30mph (50kmh) in the city center, and 75mph on the autobahns !

since ive pretty much sold all the cars, i want something that will be almost as quick as my E46 M3 SMG, and i think that a mustang gt with the power pack (335bhp/500nm) should be quite a match even though its auto.

any idea waht is the 0-60 (or even better 0-62) on a standard Mustang GT with an auto box ? my m3 best was 4.98s from 0-60

oh and for reference , we have around

4 Mclaren SLR
2 Porsche Carrera GT
11 Maybach 57
8 Porsche 997 Turbos
100+ 997 Carreras
100+ Cayenne Turbos
4 Ferrari F430
6 Lambo Gallardos
4 Lambo Murcielagos

and only 1 (!!!) Mustang GT.

The problem with the mustang is that it is EXTREMELY difficult to get in this part of the world so i really count on it being a bit of an exotic... My only hope is that speed-wise it does not disappoint me after the m3... and the best offer they have made me so far is around 63500 US dollars
