Default Do any of you like the 17 Rims better?

When I was at the dealer, I was looking at the rims, and I am pretty sure that I like the 17" rims better, which is odd, seeing as the 18" are the upgrade. Does anyone else share my opinion?

I've been torn between the 17"-18" wheels. I really want chrome bullets, but I don't like that lipless wheel Ford has on the 18's. I may buy the 17" chromes from Cal-mustang. Much better price than tirerack for example. I'm doing the Steeda ultralite/tokico switch soon too.

I too like the 17s, having said that...Im not sure about aftermarket tires. Don't know if any are available. You might wanna consider that.

I like the GT style wheels (they match the steering wheel) and they were only available in 17's. I didn't care for the styles in 18's. I also concidered the cost of replacements tires in the future.

I much prefer the 17 base bullits in anthracite gray. I might go with a wider rim in the future, but if I go up in rim size, they'll have to be lighter than the stock wheels. 18s do have more tire choices, though.

I got my after market rims in 17 inch. Ya, it probably would have looked better in 18 inch but it was alot more money. The rims the cost wasn't that different but the tires is what killed it for me.

Default I prefer the 18's but...

I went ahead and went with the 18" Fanblades as they were a cheap upgrade when we ordered and I love the look. I was going from only having 16 x 7.5 stockers on my 96Gt so I wanted something really different. I love the 17's with the bullet style and will probably putting something similar to that on my 96GT when I get a chance.

I'm ridin' the fence and sayin' they all look good!

I like them both also.
Get the best of both worlds!

I think the color of the car really decides which wheels to get. The grey bullits don't look right on torch red (imho), and the machined aluminum from '05 just doesn't work with grey colored cars. Almost need some kind of configuration software to know what's going to look good.

I like the 17's, plus I like the look of the stock Bullitts on the 2006, so that is what I ordered.

Saw my delivered 07 for the first time yesterday at the lot with the 18 inch polished aluminum rims under vista blue color. I think that particular combination looks great.

I like the 17s personally. I ordered 17 pollished bullets with spinners from Ford at the same time I ordered my 05 Mustang.
I was 13 when the 65 came out so I grew up with the old school styling.
I would put 16s on my GT with 60 series tires, like the big sidewall, but its not easy findiing V rated tires in 16s and 16s wont clear the front caliper anyway.

the 17's are nice...the 18" bullits are awesome..i always get compliments on them...no one thinks they are stock..for the $900 upgrade you can't beat the price and they come with a good tire and a suspension upgrade(i don't know what the upgrade consists of)..but they rock!...that said, after i got mine i saw some cars on here blk or silver/gry cars w/blk rims..that combo also kickzzaazz!
