Yeah its nuts! It's a 900 horsepower beast. I saw it up close at the Carlisle All Ford Nats. Price is a little too high for me though. There's also a regular Torch red '05 Stang GT up where I'm from in Altoona, PA that has twin turbos. Pulled up beside me the one day. It has a 4.6L twin turbo charged badge on it.
holy sh^t that is insane. Hey 05, what did they sell it for?
200-250k if I remember right. I think they're making like 75 of them. Deffinitly a nice car. I wish I would of went to Carlisle the day before, they were drag racing it. Can not imagine what its like behind the wheel of that thing. Probably does 9s even 8s in the quarter maybe. And they're street legal too.

Seriously. Don't know about the 1/4 mile times, just guessing somewhere in that time range. But I know the price was between 200 and 250k and they're building 75 of them. I would proove it to you but I don't know a website nor remember who is building them. It said it all in a ad somewhere for the show at Carlisle. I'll look at the Carlisle website and see if they still say anything about it.

A special 2005 Mustang, built as a tribute to Hubert Platt, will be in the Invitational Display. See this one-of-a-kind Mustang, which was totally rebuilt from the ground up. It has many unique features, including “heads-up” instrumentation. This vehicle is street and emissions legal, while putting out 850 horsepower at the rear wheels. The Mustang, built by Pure Power Motorsports, will be at South Mountain Dragway Friday evening for exhibits and timed runs.
Sorry, correction: 850 horsepower. And then on a sign there they said they were building 75 of them and taking orders.

It's not your statement that I find a little suspect -- it's the article's claims.
The interior of that thing is disgusting. If it is really selling for $200k+, then I'd want an all gold interior with suede seats and a 30" widescreen 1080p hdtv hooked up in that shiznit.

Sorry about that then, took it the wrong way. Sorry
"I wonder how much of it is still original mustang parts. I wouldn't think much of our cars could with stand 800 RWHP"
I thought about that too. Wouldn't they have to put in a whole different motor then the stock 4.6L, since I heard that they can only take up to 500 horsepower? That sucks if thats true. I wanted to go performance mod crazy on the stang when the warrentee went out, but I didn't know i would have to buy a whole new motor along with the mods.

500 HP stock yes. if you forge everything, it'll take 800 easy... most stock v8s will only take 500, some wont even take that much, the 4.6 is right up there with the rest, its a good motor...
