I bought a dash kit for my 06 GT (which already had IUP) from nycdashes.com. It's a factory-match aluminum, although it really matches the aluminum on the vent slats more than the aluminum on the top part of the dash, which has subtle lines running horizontally.
I'm in that 'not sure if I like it or not' place right now. What do you guys think?
Looks good....doesnt look cheesey....what kind of shift knob is that? looks like it gets hot in the sun.
I got the shift knob from UPRProducts.com. Yep, it can be pretty toasty somedays when I start 'er up. Canadian customers beware - I had to pay a massive brokerage fee for UPS shipping.
I bought the silver A/C knobs from the same site. Not pleased with them, as you can spin the knobs all the way around - the actual electronics just carry over the most sensible 'last setting' if the knob is pointed someplace stupid. I'll probably end up putting the factory knobs back on.
LOL I was just thinking the same thing. A good hack saw will cut through the steering wheel and you can easily remove "The Club"...they're a waste of money if you ask me.
nice interior though!

I think the dash kit looks nice. Ironically I had a similar shift knob on a previous car, and yes, it does get hot in the summer heat. I too use the club, but not the steering wheel club, I use the clutch club, but I also have a two-way active alarm and Lojack as well.
I live in Canada, I guess we're a bit behind the times up here? It's mainly a deterrant, of course - I expect if someone really wants my car, then they'll have it.
A clutch club - where can I get one of those? I've never seen one.
I don't know... it doesn't look too bling to me. I think because the overlays are smooth it doesn't look to garish at all. I like it. I tend to go fairly understated with my interiors - hence the dark charcoal dash in my interior (although I have the red leather so I guess that's a contrast) but I think yours is tasteful.
Was the install hard?
Snack

I purchased mine from my local auto parts store (down here in Cali, the store is called Kragens, but they are known as Shucks in the Northewest). I grant, it is only a deterent, someone could still tow my car away or I am sure someone has figured a way to out smart that device as well. Nothing I can do to my car would make it absolutely theft proof, so I have a few deterents and damn good insurance and go from there.
As for your dash kit, again I think it looks great, except I personally do not care for the pieces over the radio/CD and the AC area, but overall I like. I have the factory dash trim, plus I have added aluminum trim every where else in the car, i.e. the AC knobs, the pedals, the armrest/window controls, the mirror control, the headlight switch, the door pins, the ebrake, and the cupholder. Did your dash kit come with the pieces to go around the door handles and/or around the headlight switch?
