How many tickets have you gotten in your '05+ Stang?
Hey everyone. I was bored for a second and thought about the Mustang. And I am very surprised that with the year and a half I owned this wonderful car, that I have not yet got pulled over by "the fuzz" for anything yet. And my right foot kicks in and goes over the limit about atleast once a day and I drive with both blacked out head and tail light covers on daily (thought they were only for show but they look awesome on a black stang so I wanted to try and see how long it would be before atleast getting a warning for having them on while driving). So as the title of the topic states, how many of you have either gotten in trouble for having some fun in the new awesome stang and for what reason (if you don't mind me asking). And with this being a Mustang topic, I bet a majority of the trouble caused will be because of speeding

Well I guess I'll be the first one to post this. I had just taken my Mustang for its first checkup, just for the hell of it and cuz it was free and had just come out of the dealership. Across the street there is a Nissan dealership with its workers constantly standing at the curb. As I came out of the dealer they started to cuss and then flipped me off. I was really mad so I made a u-turn, stopped right in front of them, peeled out and made a right. As luck would have it, there were about 7 cop cars there for a different incident and they got me. Wreckless driving, the one and only ticket I've ever had in my mustang.
No tickets, but I got pulled over because, unknown to me at the time, my dealer didn't put temp tags on my car. I drove it for a week and some cop got trailed me on my way home. He just wanted to make sure I didn't steal it off a lot or something, I guess.
Now, there's been times where I've been going 10+ over and I just know he was coming for me, with his lights on, but pulled over a car behind me. I hate that feeling, when your heart races like that and your adrenaline is pumping. All over a speeding ticket, shame.

I'm confused...why did they flip u off?

I've been pulled over 9 times (4 times by the stack ass university police) in my new mustang for various reasons the first time was in late January. Once was for speeding they were shooting radar at a point on a back avenue where the speed drops from 55 to 45 I was doing 64. That resulted in a 4 mph over ticket no points no record, $106 fine. The second ticket I was late to an exam and was doing 70 in a 55 that resulted in a $10 "seatbelt" fine. One of the times I was pulled over was my friend I grew up with stopping me to chat about his brother for a minute (he's a city cop). The other six times were being stopped leaving Lawrence, Kansas (party town) or leaving the bar district not one resulted in a ticket, they were stopping people on suspition of drinking and driving, it's a good thing I don't drink when it's my turn to drive and by the university police who wrote me a ticket for Careless and Imprudent driving and reckless driving when my tires chirped on a patch of ice in a parking lot( I truely wasn't screwing around or I wouldn't have fought it). That ticket was overturned by the university after the cops pulled me from the car and threatened me for being recless. The problem was the cop that witnesses this event was on the other side of a building and unless he has x-ray vision couldn't see a thing (he was writing parking tickets on the meters at 11pm on a sunday evening). After that episode 3 of those cops were let go or promoted from patroling. The interesting thing is that my girlfriend was with me everytime, but once when I've been pulled over, either we are together often or she's bad luck
O tix so far and I go crazy most of the time. these days the cops go for them ricers. I was driving home from the Hamptons one night and saw these 2 civics all modded out, i mean not ghetto mods and catching up to me pretty quick. i was going about 80 and all of a sudden a cop starts driving out on the median to my left which scared me becuase it was all sudden and waits till them ricers pass and then chases them, I guess I was the only one who saw the cop. =D Good for me bad for them
I've been driving my 2005 for over a year and a half and haven't been pulled over yet. On the interstates here in Pennsylvania if you keep it below 75 the State Police won't bother you. So I set my cruise at 74. No problems. I did inadvertently go through a red light the other day. Lucky for me there were no cops around.

I got the "Voice from above" once. I was cruising top down in the fast lane and the CHP shadowed me in the "blind" spot. Except there is no blind spot with the top down and I knew he was there. I was doing about 69 just to p!$$ him off and he gave me the PA - "Red Mustang - the speed limit is 65". Then he pulled next to me and glared and exited at the next opportunity. I pulled into the next lane and set the cruise on 65 and proceeded to get passed by every Tom, Dick and Harry on the road.

I've had my Mustang for about a year and a half and have only been pulled over once. Was driving with my cousin in an area of a neighboring town that I rarely visit. Turned onto a fairly commonly used road and saw a late model mustang like mine up ahead pulled off to the side with its hazards on. I remember thinking "oh man that sucks for him to be broken down here on this road." The thing that changed my train of thought was when the female cop jumped out in front of me blowing her whistle and waving me into a lot with about 8 other cars pulled over. The Mustang was a decoy cop car! I was completely surprised. Apparently this is a 35 mph road on which I was doing like 49. Well, she must have seen my firefighter sticker and let me go with a stern warning and finger shaking. I aplolgized profusely and went slowly on my way. Won't be travelling that road again anytime soon!

After a year and a half, no tickets yet! Even with the Torch Red and stripes. But I am very careful, and not always traveling as the fastest car on the highway. I do not have a radar detector, but I do have a front license plate cover to deflect laser. I don't know if it has worked or not.
My wife in her v6 vert and I in my V8 have been followed by the police almost to our house several times, but we know when they are there, and we are not speeding.

I got 1 for 51 in a 40. A month later, same street within a block pulled over doing 60 in a 40 and he let me go, go figure.
Cop not mentioning window tint, no front plate, and no village sticker each time.
