Why even bring up the issue of the numbers of mustangs on a site where many people have put allot of money into customizing them to their tastes. That would make it unique, right? Personally, I don't have anything against other drivers, and really don't feel more gifted or special than any other driver on the road. I like what I drive, and take pride in that, but by no means do I think my car is superior to other american muscle, or even some imports. I say some because I do dislike some imports just on tastes. 350Z, G35 coupe, M3, and an STi are only a few of the imports I could see myself driving. I'm pleased with where I am. If others feel the same way as I do, who am I to let that ruin my fun.

Just remmber, this is a site for Mustang enthusiast... kind of like the parking lot you mention where we can all get together and leave you alone. Though, you just had to come over didn't you?
Its ok though, You can get you a Mustang one day and join in with the fun instead of always being on the outside tryign to prove something.

chances are this guy owns a P.O.S. Scooby or an RSX. He has obviously not driven a mustang and the reason why there are so many is because the mustang actually sells excellently compared to most other vehicles. SO, GOD BLESS THE MUSTANG for it's utter dominance and presence in every city

I get a lot flack from guys at work about my 07'GT.One of the main reasons I purchased a Mustang is that the styling is timeless.From day one to present.We all have our reasons for having a Stang.My number reason for Stang ownership is that its all American.
Well considering this site is ALL ABOUT MUSTANGS,its kind of a pre-requisite that u at least like mustangs. I'm 18 and I just changed from a 97 Mitsubishi Diamante to an 06 Mustang and I could not be happier. Given that on the last forum I was in (diamanteowners) when I mentioned I had gotten a mustang it started a HUGE thread all bashing the mustang. I think people just get jealous or something and like to talk crap. I bet you can get any honda civic owner and offer him an 08 GT or a shelby or hell, even the v6 and he would trade it in a heartbeat (I know I would). And so what if its easy to work on?? Isnt that a good thing?? My old car was only fixable by a really good shop or the freaking dealer (lots of $$$). With my stang, 3 guys can have the engine out of the bay in 1 hour tops. Not to mention how cheap the parts are(very important!) and the HUGE ENDLESS list of aftermarket parts available.
I personally dont bash on anyone,if its your car and you trick it out how u like,then more power to ya. I admire a modded mustang just like I would admire a hooked up integra or an evo or a wrx or whatever floats your boat. Be in a turbo'd 4 banger or a piece of V8 american muscle. And I still dont see the point of bashing stangs on a site dedicated to mustang lovers it just gets people all agressive for no valid reason and creates tension.

Hey hey now, easy on the scooby. I recently traded in my 05 Mustang on an 07 impreza. The mustang was a great car, but handling and traction are what I was after and the scooby is great for that, that's the whole purpose of AWD that comes standard on all Subarus. Don't be like that guy who posted that long hateful response. Don't start making generalizations about other car owners like he did. I ain't mad at ya, but you are on the verge of humble pie. I think that is the problem with why people hate on cars so much (i.e. mustangs). They may have come across some a-hole mustang owners and they form an opinion of all mustang owners based on that one experience. Also, people use their cars as an extension of themselves which is wrong. Kinda like people who believe their jobs and how much money they make defines who they are. People are getting too worked up over cars. It's just a hunk of plastic and metal! It gets you from point A to Point B. It is an object, nothing more. Would you be the same person if you suddenly lost all of your possessions? If the answer is no, then it's time for some self-reflection. I have owned a few different brands of cars and what I have learned is they all have their own strengths and weaknesses. There is always some tradeoff. I think the other problem with hating on mustangs is the generation gap. Most of your foreign car owners (Acura, Subaru, Honda) tend to be younger people who grew up with the Fast and the Furious mentality. They are just young kids who don't know how to define themselves yet other than trying to impress people and belong to some crowd. We were all there at one point somewhat. It's just part of growing up. I own a 4-banger subaru and I don't have a fart can, I don't try to impress people. In general I am not a "ricer". The day they make an AWD mustang I will be in heaven. Anyway, my point is just try not to get wrapped up in all this stuff too much. Just have understanding and let these young "ricers" prove whatever they think they have to knowing in the long run that the process of growing up will happen. Live your life as if everyone else were blind and deaf.
