But really - what a sucky day
I had the car at the local dealer for a fuel rail replacement (small leak). They had the car longer than they said it would take, so I had them deliver it to the house. Driver parked behind the wife.......
luckily there is no real body damage (broke the tab on the front bumper that holds the signal light in place) because she hit the front tire that was turned toward her car. Unfortunately something is really wrong with the suspension/steering rack.
adjuster is coming out in the morning

Sounds like a perfect time for a Roush bumper or something of that nature.

After an extensive "crime" scene recreation and investigation I must unfortunately report the following. After direct tire to tire contact at less than 10 mph, the mustang rack, strut and various other suspension parts appear to be seriously tweaked. The saab (subaru) still runs drives and handles perfectly!
While backing up with her wheels turned she struck (with the backside of the front passenger side tire) the front of my turned driver side front tire, completely trashing my car yet leaving hers virtually unharmed.
I will try to post some pics to illustrate how she managed to do this.

Some Euro cars are tough as nails. My dad in his Honda Accord rear-ended a Volvo going about 30+ mph. When we got out of our cars to look, the volvo had no scratches, or even bumps, nothing. It wasn't the case for our Accord. It had chipped paint, broken right head light, and a slight inward bend on the bumper.
Look at this as an opportunity....you can have anything you want!

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
Now you know... never let anyone else drive your baby. I'm sure if you had brought it home from the dealer you would not have parked behind your wife.

Had a question based on the pics you posted. Was the wheel turned in toward the Saab BEFORE she hit it? If so, one more reason to park with the wheels straight. I feel your pain!!

yes GOD, the wheels were turned. unfortunately I wasn't the last one to drive it -- fortunately the inner and outer tie rod ends took all of the impact (rather than the body) --- one more reason to park with the wheels turned
freak - I have found lots of things to do w/her body since then

My wife decided not pull up all the way to the ball hanging in the garage, but did decide to go ahead and shut the garage door on the back bumper. Did a number on my racing stripes...... Good thing I love her....
