Black O5 GT Black Stipes?

I have a black 05 GT and was considering adding some flat black stripes.

Did any of you did this or have pictures of a black Mustang with flat black strpies.

I don't think you would like it. That is what is on my 2007 GT/CS and I am changing my side panel to reflective white/silver, as you can't hardly make out the side panel stripping that is on mine.But if that is what you want , it is your call.Kathy

total waste of money imo, you won't even be able to see them. Go with gray or silver if you really want them. I had my mind made up for silver stripes but after seeing the car in black I decided against stripes altogether. It just looks way sleaker in black and it's probably less of a cop magnet w/o them.

I beg to differ, I have a black 06 GT with matte black stripes. Yes, they are not easily detected but it was the "look" I was going for (subdued) and I like it. This is a matter of opinion and taste so it really boils down to how YOU want your car to look. Although I value my fellow Mustang enthusiast's opinion, bottom line is that my opinion is what matters most.

If you want your car to grab attention then don't go with the matte/flat black striping on the factory black painted car. Because as mentioned they are not very visible. I get my share of compliments for the matte black striping even though my car is not highly modified.

As you can see from the pictures, the stripes are hard to see. But, they are a little easier to see in person.

That's one badass lookin car you've got there Flippn. I love the subdued effect of the black on black stripes. It gives the car a very clean look without screaming out for attention. It's also very mean looking with the blacked out taillights and turn signals.

I really like the look of your car Flippn, the mat black stripes really look sharp. I may be doing the double stripes next spring.

I'm with you vantage, I wouldn't not put Silver, Gray or white stripes my black car. In my opinion, the black cars don't look as good as the White, Red Blue or Yellow cars with those.

Thanks for the compliments. Don't get me wrong though I've seen a few 05-07 black coupes with the silver, gray, white, and red stripes. They all looked good and it definitely grabbed my attention from quite a distance (either on the road or just sitting there). Just that I was going for a different look is all.

There was an older Mustang that came through the Barret auction last year.It was gloss black with flat black stripes.it was one of the coolest cars there and sold for big bucks.I say go for it! Usually your first idea for your car is the best one to go with.Poco
