Has any1 had 3.73 gears or 4.10s installed at their Ford Dealer(excluding SVT/Roush/Steeda dealers)? Do they have enough experience doing that kind of work? Or should I consider a performance shop?

I had my dealer do 3.73 gear in my supercharged 06. They also did the 4.10 gear in my 91 5.0 liter. Gave me a decent (not cheap) price and I know they have done hundreds of them for people. The tech that did mine drag races at the same track as me.

I did have them (3.73 FRPP) installed by my dealer and they whine, they need to be re-shimmed, an drag racing experienced shop will be doing them...no more dealer f#$%^&* crap anymore...find the most experienced shop around your place.
Cheers

When I was shopping gears my Ford dealer said $800+ for the gears and $1000 to install.
Re-effen-diculous.
