Well folks, enjoyed your company. I may be back from time to time, but I just want to tell you about this.
Last november, my daughter was in my 99 V6 mustang, went to sleep at the wheel, drove off a 60 foot embankment, bounced it off a railroad bridge, and flipped it a few times to boot. She got both legs broken above the knee. (Yes I know how lucky she is). However, I think we may deduce from this that mustangs don't fly well.
Last monday night, in the town where I live, we got 19.2 inches iof rain in 18 hours. My 06 V6 had already waded through several puddles, no problem. Ran into one more. turned out to be about 3 1/2 feet deep, with a strong current. Washed me and mustang into tthe woods, flooding it almost instantly. I was able to climb out through a window. I'm lucky too. But from this I think we can safely deduce that mustangs don't swim well, either. I don't think I'm going to get another. I don't want to know what else mustangs don't do well. Have a great day folks, and enjoy your 'stangs! Jerry

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Glad everyone was ok for the most part. Hope your daughter is doing well.
I would say an armored car would do well for you. Honestly I think the fact that your daughter survived a collision of that type speaks mountains for the safety of Mustangs.

Ya know..I feel for your troubles...Knowone should have to deal with so much...
But I fail to see how either incident was anything other than driver error.
I get the joke tone of your "won't do" theme and appreciate the humor in that..but again...no car crosses rivers or drives itself down the road..Not a Mustang or any other.
That said..
Best of luck dealing with this and I'm glad your ok.
Enjoy your next ride...Whatever it may be.

Oh my! Please! I did not mean to do anything to make mustangs look bad! Oh no! I think they are wonderful, and as one said, the fact that we all came through all this ok is quite the testament to the safety of a mustang. I like the ideas of the M1a1 and the hovercraft, too! LOL! I just don't think I want to push my luck. Meant nothing againsst stangs, just know my luck. And it ain't been good this year.
Oh, and thank you, my daughter is dong amazingly well. She had stainless steel implants put in both legs the tuesday of the wreck, and they had her walking the following saturday. Not well, by any means, but up and walking. 20 years ago, that would have been impossible.
Get pictures of the implants to show the security people at the airport for the next time she flys. I am glad to hear she was not hurt as badly as the kid down the street in a older Mustang. He crested a hill along our country road doing in excess of 100 and some reason did not stay on the road. The culvert tried the flying thing and a tree stopped him. He left the sceen spiritually. A little white cross marks the end of the skid marks.
Good thoughts towards you and your family. Be well.
I can understand where another mustang might be hard to handle mentally,
but as they say "Time heals all.".
and although you may be sansMustang, no need to be a stranger here.
Dells Ducks! Yeah man, took a spin in one of those two summers ago. Felt like it could turn a quarter-mile in about...oh...45 seconds or so! But the plunge from dry land into the lake was AHH-some!

No wonder your car floated away... You got the V6. The GT floats, swims, flies and waxes itself, will fetch the paper and drop the kids off at school (with the IUP).
The optional side-curtain airbags are for floatation in the event of a water landing. They inflate with helium to help the car gently drift over hills and ditches... or back to shore.
