Rocker stripes look great on some cars and not so great on others, i havnt been able to figure out what it is that makes the difference. I have white hood/trunk stripes on a black car so i think the rocker stripes may be an overkill for me but i like the way they look on SLTWagons'. I think it may have to do with the color combo, really high contrast stripes disrupt the flow of the cars lines.
Why did you choose "300 hp", what happens when you start modding and you break the 300 hp mark? Then youll have to get new stripes!

Agreed - when I took the rocker stripes off mine, I did it because I didn't like the "Mustang" text, but now that they're gone it looks like something is missing. My car is white and the stripes were black - I think I'll go with the GT500-style stripes (again without the text - just the wider middle stripe and smaller stripes above/below), but in silver. Silver seems to look good on white, without being overly contrast-y.
But you're right in that on some cars, it adds to the look, and on others it detracts.

IMHO, I believe the rocker, or any striping, looks 'busy' on certain metallic paint cars. Redfire metallic or any of the S197 blues. Certain colors almost must have some striping, white, vapor, orange, lime or yellow.
I agree about the lettering, although it looks like your dyno'd around that mark. But, I'm prejudiced anyways cuz I'm not a rocker stripe fan.
What do you guys think about this? I'm undecided... still looking for something a little different.

Kinda looks like Starsky & Hutch paint scheme

Exactly.
I'd like to see that stripe, but dropped down further to the door and following the curve/scallop at the bottom of the door, ending in a point. Pretty much exactly like the Starsky & Hutch stripe.

A little too Starsky & Hutch for me, too. How about just letting it follow the belt-line of the car? Let it run to the back corner of the car.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
Thats why I went with something simple and a little different, too many rocker panels look the same to me.I have had alot of nice comments on mine.
