Default Nitto NT555 or Bridestone Potenza RE750

What would you guys reccomend as a good overall high performance summer tire that will work on the street as well as the occasional run down the dragstrip? I'm keeping the original 5 star rims on the 05 GT that are 17X8 and looking to go 255/50/17 for the tire. From what I've seen the Bridgestone Potenza RE750 and the NITTO NT555 seem to be awesome tires.

+ 1 for the Nittos - I have been running them, and now that we are getting some rainly recently I am really seeing a huge difference above the old Pirellis. Can't comment on the Bridgestones, but the Nittos are great!!

I ran Potenzas on several previous applications with pretty good success.

The 555 Nittos perform very well wet and dry. and they hook up really well on launches. Plus, they look killer!

I'm running 305/45/18 Nitto 555R Extreme Drag Radials on the assend of mine, and love em'. They have twice the traction as the Pirelli's did, rain or dry.

whichever ya get, post a pic. My Pirelli's are over halfwaqy thru their projected life, and I'd like to go wider and keep the stock rims, too.

What type of tires are up front? I'm looking at 295/45/18 555s for the rear...but would do 305/45/18s if I can find a balance with the front wheels.

Do you have any pics? Are you lowered?

305/45/18 Nitto 555R Extreme DRs in the rear, stock Pirelli 235/55/17s up front.

I highly recommend BF Goodrich KDW 2. They are rated very high for both wet and dry traction and are priced well too. I always buy from tire rack and their site will show you a comparison and ratings of nearly any tire you might be thinking of.

Hawgman...that's a great look. Any drop up front? I'm assuming those are 18x10" from AmericanMuscle.

What are the chances that you have a full side shot? I hadn't considered the 18" rim in the back and a 17" in the front.

Not a "great" picture, but the only one I have at the moment.

No drop on either end. Stock height. And yea, the 18X10 DDs from American Muscle.

I really like the look in the back. Especially with no drop. Any reason on the stock Pirellis and the 17" rim up front?

dont the nittos wear out fairly quick tho? I mean all the HP summer tires do anyway, but I thought the nittos go a little quicker?
