OK..This is not about my mustang but about my ford explorer. I took the explorer to Crown Ford In FaYETTEVILLE,NC because I would not shift.. I will spend about 10-15 min trying to get it out of park. Well Crown said it was because some liquid was spilled on the stick and wanted $450 to repair it( the vehilce is under warranty). I took it to the Dealer I Bought the explorer from...CrossRoads Ford In Cary,NC (1 hr drive) and they fixed the problem no questions asked in less than an hour they replaced the stick (auto). Soooo you know who will get all my future business.

Here is my story. I will be impartial and keep the emotion out of it and only add the facts.
Firstly, I have a 2007 Mustang GT and live in Dubai (Middle East). We have a massive Mustang following here and have a big club for the size poplulation here. Check out dubaimustangclub for those who are curious. My "stage name" here is Quiksilver.
I have been in love with Cervinis C-500 Body kit with a ram air hood and as soon as I bought my car decided it would be made up to be a show car with the works from Cervini. This is where it all began.....
Because I live in Dubai we usually cannot order direct from the internet so I emailed sales and was answered by Jackie. She was helpful and responsive and answered all my questions. She quoted me for the shipping ($2000!) and said that the order would take 4-5 days to ship to Dubai. I was also told that I could not use another shipper as it was policy to only use Cervini's own shipper. I really wanted the kit so I decided to pay the large shipping fee and hope for the best.
Before I handed over $6500 I asked for bank details and a order form or some sort of paperwork. I was given the bank numbers and told no paperwork would be given until payment was made. I was a little worried as the bank details were just a number and could be anyones details. It would be hard to get my money back if there was a problem so I was a little suspicious. I come from Soutrh Africa where crime and fraud is really bad so I became even more concerned and suspicious after I was refused any kind of paperwork and also all emails from Jackie had no type of logo or signature.
When I get response from Steeda etc they are all logoed and are clearly from Steeda. Perhaps Cervini's do business a little differently? It seemed a little strange that a business that is so well known and has such an excellent reputation would operate like this. Its not standard practice having no signature or paperwork where I come from. My answer to all this was to put it on hold and check it out on a trip to Vegas in June. When in Vegas I checked out everything including the bank details and Jackie. it was all legit so I was excited to make the order. I made the order via email and made payment via wire transfer. Payment took a week or so.
This is where my problems began.....
I asked for paperwork after my paymnet was confirmed. perhaps an order form or even a receipt. None was ( and has still to be ) given. I was offered the "order page" form the internet. After several "attempts" to fax paperwork to me I gave up.
Then.......after I made payment I was told that it would unfortunately be 3 weeks till my order would be shipped. This was a week AFTER I made the payment from my end. This was never told to me before I ordered and according to the other forums I have posted on this is very irregular. There is certainly no warning of this anywhere I have noticed. Is it in the fine print somewhere? To make matters worse I was also sent a mila AFTER I paid that I should hold back on my order. I queried this as I wondered why it was even sent to me. I was then told it was a mistake. My confidence in this compaby dropped even further.
I was patient and waited another week AFTER the 3 weeks just to be sure. In other words 4 weeks since paymnet was recived and 5 weeks since I made ordered for those who are keeping count.
I asked again via email what the status of my order is and was again told it would be ANOTHER 3 weeks. I complained and was told that there were parts that were holding up the rest of the order. I phoned Cervini ( from Dubai) after a few days and spoke to Jackie. A nice long phonecall at my expense. I explained that the car was to be a show car and that it would miss its deadline if it wasnt shipped within 3 weeks. the car has to be completed before Sept 21. Thats everything finished - not just the bodykit! She said that the car would be put on high priority ( it obviously wasnt on any kind of high priority before ) and would be shipped in 2 weeks.
We are now over the 2 weeks and my last email (today) I was told that I would recieve an email to confirm my shipping. When that would be cannot be said. I have asked whther ANYONE at Cervini may be able to let me know whether my order will be shipped by the end of the week. i am stillawaiting a response.
So to sum up its heading towards 8 weeks and there is still no end in sight. I am getting more and more despondant and this whole affair is leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. The guys on my forum have been following this saga with much interest so I think my initial idea to try to open up the Middle East and business for Cervini has cerytainly fallen flat on its face.
I dont know what else to say except I am in Dubai with NO PAPERWORK, NO $6500, NO BODYKIT, NO CONFIRMATION OF SHIPPING and NO ANSWERS
Can ANYONE offer some sort of Explanation or a solution?
Thanks

Listen up, y'all. Got my GT from Golden Circle Ford/L/M. Great experience. Larry (aka "Tex") saw me comin' at about 7:30am a month ago today. Didn't have any intention of getting a Mustang - just wanted to look. The '07 was a 5-speed manual and didn't want that. They had just gotten in the '08s and the one I have now was nice. Drove the V-6 auto and didn't like it as much. Drove the GT and with one turn of the ignition (Wwwwooooommmmmmmm!), baby that was it. I got out of the car and told Tex that I had a real problem. I liked that car...a lot.
One month later, I'm still smiling.
Awesome birthday present for myself. Next time you're in West TN, visit Tex. On top of the great service, my wife got a big bag of home grown 'maters, as he called 'em. Good guys can sell cars, it seems.

Well any St. Louis area buyers beware of Autoplaza Ford. Here's the story:
Submitted internet quote requests, got responses. They had a black '07 GT that looked very good. It didn't have the hood scoop, spoiler, and rolled exhaust that I wanted, but they said they'd add it for a good price (I should have known better based on the price they gave)
I got there and the sales rep says, "I've got good news and I've got bad news, which do you want first." I didn't care, so he told me the Mustang they had been quoting me was a Saleen (they had had a week to figure this out and knew I was coming in that day two days in advance.)
They then proceeded to be unable to find any other vehicles matching what I wanted (even though I knew of several in the area). They tried to sell me much more expensive vehicles for the most part, and I eventually left.
I really have the impression that this type of behavior is standard operating procedure at this dealer. And it is probably the reason they remain the smallest Ford dealer in town. (They told me they were themselves.)
Awesome Customer Service Does Still Exist! Example: JBA Headers.
For the most part my opinion is that customer service in this country is diappearing fast. It's hard to find a company whose only mission is not to sell stuff without regard to their customers.
This morning JBA headers proved to me that there are companies out there that really care about their customers. Late last night I ordered a pair of long tube headers from their website. This morning the sales manager called me to verify that I did not need O2 sensor extensions with my order. Now these extensions only cost $25 so it is clear to me that JBA did not call so they could make some more money, rather to make sure my header installation went smoothly. They cared about the fact that my installation may be delayed because I forgot to order extensions. Awesome.
While I had them one the phone I pointed out a very, very minor problem with their web site, little more than a spelling error. To thank me they upgraded my headers to silver ceramic coated for free, a $300 upgrade. I didn't even ask them to do that, they just did it.
If you are looking to upgrade your stock exhaust manifold or your current headers, there is no better place to buy them than JBA Headers, IMHO. I'll never buy headers anywhere else.

Yesterday afternoon I ordered (among other things) Steeda's 555-5553 Front Swaybar Mount Brace, $89.95. This morning Steeda called to point out that my already-installed 555-8113 billet mounts and the brace could not be used at the same time.
I realize they saved themselves some hassle if I received and had to return the brace, but it saved me the hassle, and the use of ninety bucks.

You may have heard me on this forum saying how bad rpmoutlet can be.
SO I thought maybe they got their act together over the year I have boycotted them and decided to give them another try because I am doing a bumper to bumber rebuild of my car. I made 4 orders over a 4 day period a couple weeks ago in preparation for my rebuild.
Of the 4 orders, one was completely lost and they have no idea whether my credit card was charged or not (deja vu) and the other three each had a backordered item that they cannot tell me if the parts will ever be in stock.
WHEN WILL I EVER LEARN??? STAY AWAY FROM RPMOUTLET!! Their prices are very tempting but are not worth the headache that you WILL have after dealing with these idiots.
