I just couldn't last any longer without making this thread. I was temped to make it last night after my first story but held myself back. So last night im pulling into my neighborhood as a GT with 6000k lights goes by. I had a friend with me and I flipped my car around, turned out and went afterhim. After i cought him we pulled to a light on a 2 lane road. Their was somebody in the right lane, so i pulled in behind him. Keep in mind im thinking this is going to be the first s197 ive raced. He took off from the light and by the time i was shortshifting into second i had the opertunity to pass him so I jumped out into the lane next to him and drove around him, like he was sitting still. He was modding with what i believe to be cold air, diablo and some axle back. I took him by about 7 and keep in mind i started behind him. I was so excited to finally have raced an s197. After messing around with my brother and friend on the way back from the local cruise this morning. ME and my brother are on the service road as a yellow subaru with front mount intercooler pulls up. He stopped next to me seeing as my brother in his subaru was about 1/8 mile ahead of me. I waved for him to roll the window down and then said you have to go through me to get to him. I waved him to go when he wants and when i heard him stand in it I hammered it and dusted him pretty good. He said how sick it sounded and then asked what was in it and i told him.
Anybody else have anygood stories?

People like you crack me up. You are usually the ones that go out of your way to try to race, then won't even look my direction at the next light once you catch up.

Well I beleive its a kid that goes to my old school, he was only about a mile away from the school and He had an exhaust and lights. So unless theirs another 17 year old running around with 6000k lights and an exhuast in blue in my area, then it was him.
Why do you assume that im the kind of person that wont even look in your direction at the next light? No i did not get next to this kid and ask him exactly what he had, because their was no way 2 and plus it wasn't like it was a good race so i wasn't going to follow him and do it a couple more times. But if you read the rest of my post it says that i stopped to talk to the guy in the subaru(the light was green and i stooped to talk to him). I think that proves your point wrong.

O so your saying you could beat me and IF you did i would'nt look your way at the next light. Why do you say that i wouldn't look your way if i got beat? Why do you assume youll beat me? I know your supercharged, but dont always assume your supercharged car is faster than anothers supercharged car until you know. I didn't start this thread saying haha i can dust anybody on this site, i told my weekend race stoires and asked for others to share theirs.

I haven't had any races at all with my Stang for like the last 5 months now. I had a shot yesterday at one omg I have never wanted to race that much. I drive down the ally to get on the main road (wanted to wash my baby, hasn't had a bath in about a month because of the bad weather, and sit there a second because of traffic. And what's funny is I was reading about going against a new gto. I'm sitting there daydreaming for a second about racing one when this new blue gto goes by right in front of me. I pull out and chase him down. He's going the same way I was heading. I'm behind him and i notice the 6.0 ltr badge on the trunk (now im thinking oh s*** as i heard the 6.0s will leave a stock stang gt in the dust pretty easily) he makes the turn, me following, and as soon as he turns he stands on it, my brain knew that I would probably lose a race agianst him but my foot thought differently as it was flat on the floor. I'm riding his rear bumper and we get onto this straight stretch of road. Then he has to slow down as he caught up to the bank truck infront of him, and I look ahead to see nothing but traffic so I couldn't pass him dang it! I follow him for a second until I have to turn to go to the local car wash. He keeps on going straight. "Alwell, I'll find him another day, by then I'll have my supercharger and a few hundred extra hp" Stop and wash my baby. And right when I finish washing her, who shows up at the light beside the car wash. I get in the Stang to see him take off spinning the wheels as the light turns green. By the time I pulled up to the light it the gto was long gone. I knew i would of probably lost to that car but I want to race so bad.

It's so much more fun on the track anyway. You're not always looking over your shoulder for those blue flashing lights And, while it's still competition, it's much friendlier than street racing.
Well your lying if you say youve never gone through a couple gears on the street. Plus their was nobody near us after 20 mph when i ran the stang and nobody on the service road when i ran the subaru. Also no exits or entrance either place.
I agree that it more fun at the track, but once again weather and 300 mile drive.
