Question Hupcaps+ Painted Mirror Covers. Anyone have picture of them on their 2005+ Mustang

Does anyone have a picture of the painted mirror covers from Hupcaps Plus from the mirror side installed on their car? I would like to know if they cover the edge around the mirror glass.

This is a picture of the back of the mirror from their website. They are also selling them on E-bay but you can get them for less from their website.

That looks really nice.

I've seen other cars on the road with the sideview mirrors painted and I've thouhgt about doing it as well. But haven't yet.

I was wrong about getting them for less on their website. You could a couple of weeks. The website has free shipping. E-bay is less but a $20 shipping charge. I think you save a nickle using the website.

Heres mine, not like the ones you were talking about. But thought id throw these out there in case you hadnt seen them.Theyre made by Zenon and my paint guy who painted and installed them said they were a breeze to do. Brent

Looks very nice. What was the total cost with having to get them painted?

I have them, the only place that you can see the original mirror is from inside the car, doesn't look too bad, they fit tight against the mirror and from outside they look great.

Why buy, paint and install covers when you could prep/paint the actual mirrors for far less? Just curious.

I bought covers for a few reasons, first to see if I liked them painted the color of the car before sanding my mirrors down, my painter said that there is up keep on painting the original mirrors due to rock chips etc, and the down time of no-mirrors while they are being prepped/painted. If I can find some take-offs cheap then I'll get those painted and swap them out.

The stock mirros take a lot of prep and there is still a chance the paint crack and fall off...

I got the 1/2 covers from Brothers Performance Warehouse. The picture I took was to show some damage to the hood, but you can see the mirror covers.
I like them. I got them already painted and ready to install ...with shipping it was about $70.

MickMach painted his white. Didn't even sand them down first so you can still see a little texture if you look close. I thought they looked great. Key is to use the right flex additive in the paint. Do that and it should last a long time.

I'll keep that in mind when I do my hood here in a few days. Will sugest not sanding them down.

Mick; what's the secret mixture?
