Default Midwest Auto: Fuel Rail Covers - Opinions

Anyone have these? Pics look nice and the complement the '07 factory plenum cover. Also, easier than doing something with valve covers. Price is steep at $239. Appreciate any comments.

I think they look really cool. And youre right they do compliment the plenum cover nicely. Might just look into them for a Birthday present hint next month. Already gave my wife the Silver Horse racing flush mounted 1/4 window louvers so maybe ill pass this one along to Mom & Dad and maybe Sis can throw a couple bucks there way to go in on them with them. I have a redfire Plenum now but am thinking i might like silver to go on the fuel rail covers. Might look pretty good.Have the silver
Powered by Ford" lettering on the plenum so would go well with that and my rally stripes... Brent

I have them in body color and really like them. If you get them it will be easier to install if you have a third hand to help. It's difficult to hold everything aligned up - plenum cover, fuel rail and fuel rail cover - and put the bolts back in. Also, the screws for the sides of the fuel rail covers are very short and hard to get into the fuel rail cover mounting brackets. I first put in some longer machine screws then replaced them one at a time with the nicer looking screws that are provided.

When I got my plenum, fuel rail and radiator covers there was a package discount of around $25. Also, there is no shipping charge.

They do dress up the engine bay and go well with the plenum cover. I am just not sure about the price..a bit steep for something that is essentially bling or eye candy.

I found it was about the same money or cheaper to get my valve covers custom powdercoated.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.

I like the look. I have been considering buying their California Special package which includes the fuel rail covers and the Ford plenum cover. At $299.00 though, I can think of a few other mods that would provide more value.

Powder coating my valve covers was $80... but I must admit I'm not too keen on seeing all the wires and hoses... oh well... it's more about functionality... don't even think those would fit over my fuel rails, lines, and 60 lb injectors...

Question... Does the Ford Racing cross brace thingy (sheesh, can't think of what those things are called! ) rub your cover? Oh, and I think I see a bit of dust on your engine. Better get that cleaned off right away.

Just checked the CJ Pony parts page. Price is now $75, plus you have to buy the attaching parts. Hmmm.

Strut tower brace... ;-))

I had to put some washers on to get enough clearance to the cover, but no prob at all.

Dust on my engine... You should see it now. It´s winter, there is SALT on it ! hahahaha.

Wow, they increased the pice, huh ? Well, if you decide on getting it, I have a extra set of those attaching bolts you can have (for free).

I like the ones in the first pic but if you go with a colored set to match the car I don't care for it unless you do some air brush work on it...
I have seen the silver up close and personal and it looked great

I think it is a Ram's head away from making it look like the underhood of a Dodge Magnum

Well my problem other than that it's bling PLASTIC is that if you look from the front you see the PLASTIC cut outs and that it is not part of the engine...
