Default Top Speed measured by radar

Guess I don't need to try and confirm the test data!

This kid is very lucky he didn't kill someone. At least they can recover the car and return it to the owner in one piece.

Yeah, seen that. Pretty crazy.

Just the other day I was just saying to my g/f after watching a Wildest police chase show, that I'd like to see a chase in a car that might actually out run the squad car. Not someones 1989 Chevy Celebrity.

I'm glad no one was hurt from what it sounds like. Road spikes gonna getcha most of the time.

I couldn't help thinking that there are several states with laws still on the books that stealing a horse is a hanging offense. If that were my horse and that piece of human refuse stole it and treated it like that I would want him hung!

Stolen car, stolen credit card.
Well, he's off to a good start in life, isn't he?
Luckily the owner can get his car back. Any damage can be fixed, I'm sure.

I wonder what direction the comments would take if a / the kid owned the car and was posting here what he did one day on the interstate?

I would imagine that the comments would be "What an idiot that kid is. He needs to have that car taken away from him." Who cares about the kid? He was endangering peoples lives and he's now a felon. The poor guy whose car he stole is the one deserving the sympathy.

I think the cops need to calibrate that radar gun. Unless that car was modded that speed exceeds the rev limiter.

I don't know what's more surprising.

A 17 year old stealing a car, credit card, high speed pursuit, etc... Thinking that they would get away with the crime.

Or a 17 year driving 155mph on a highway and not killing themselves or anyone else for that matter.

It's reasons like this as to why the car insurance companies charge a premium for our Mustangs.

I for one would like to know how he stole the Mustang. With the new coded keys and all, how did he do it? It sounds like he stole a credit card at the same time too. Maybe he got the car key with the credit card from the owner's purse or wallet?

I think that kid has already peaked in life. The only reason I can figure that would make sense is there was somewhere he was going, that he felt he really needed to be. Was his son about to be born, in Seattle and no one would let him leave b/c he *has* to be in school for his big math test on Friday? Did he sign up for the military and Daddy wouldn't let him go ["Whaddya think yer better than me?!?!"] and he has to appear in six hours and has been panicking for the last four because he will be AWOL and doesn't know there are other avenues available b/c he was raised by the weaving jacka$$ who now won't let him go?

Orrrrrr, he was probably out for a nice, fast joyride in someone else's car.

His parent must be so proud. The trailer park won't be the same without him for the next 3 to 5.

Why would it have to be supercharged? Stock it's rated at around 150mph.

I have been to 135 in mine with a good bit of throttle left. I don't know about the speed limiter or radar gun. But if my speedo is accurate with in +/- 10mph, I have no doubt the car will run 153. have you notice the radar sign for JetBlacks avatar. really makes you wonder doesn't it
