Why in the world would an S197 owner put those round/clear/chrome euro cruddy things on their baby??
Went to Laughlin for a few days a couple of weeks ago. Pulled into the Golden Nugget parking garage and the first car I saw was a yellow Mustang (may have been a GT, even - I was too appalled by the tail lights - they blinded me to everything else) with LeMans stripes, Arizona plates and THOSE tail lights. Thought I was gonna barf. It was like looking at a Hondstang.
Makes NO sense at all to me. Didn't we all go crazy for the '05+ Mustangs precisely because of their CLASSIC Mustang looks?? Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so.
When we left, I was going to make a point to take another look and was disappointed (for a sec) when we had to exit from a different driveway... And there he was! Right in front of us! Wanted hubby to pull up next to him so I could ask him "What the hell?!" Didn't happen.

I think that the euro tail lights look like crap the only ones that look like they kinda belong are the ones that come on the Lightning.

I know what you mean about the teasing... There are a lot of people here that really dislike rocker panel stripes, but I love mine. To each his own... But those tail lights are simply a hideous mod, imho. I don't even like them on imports. And on a Mustang they're beyond redemption.

Just find a pic of a 2003 Lightning "stock" and u will see the taillights
Took me a sec to see that the Lightning is a truck. Trucks don't count.
But yeah... They look better on the Lightning than on ANY car.

Bah... people just call those Euro tailights to make them sound good and suave. They're still ricey crap and don't belong anywhere near a mustang. The mere fact that they're even made for any model of mustang is a shame (and I smite that companies name!). Any mustang owner that actually installs the darn things really doesn't understand the car that he/she is driving.
Sure, to each their own and taste isn't inbred... but one doesn't need to buy every damn thing off the shelf that someone is selling just because! Euro/Rice lights don't fit on this car and are an insult to the heritage of it. It's one thing is the mod fits with the car, but if it don't, then by george don't do it! Listen to the ride, she'll tell you whats good for her.
Thats my thoughts anyways. Feel free to disagree.

I honestly can't stand Euro/clear taillamps on the Mustangs with our light pattern...they just look horribly out of place. Even the clear L.E.D. ones for the '05s just look horrible. Sure I wouldn't mind having L.E.D.s on my taillamps but there's just nothing out their to make it work. The closest I've seen was a set of red taillamps with L.E.D.s built right into them, but I'm not even sure about those. Now if the L.E.D.s were like the ones found on the higher end vehicles (Infinity, Lexus, Mercedes, etc.) I would be sold on a set if they fit the current stock housings.

Yep, that's them... YECH!!! I was thinking perhaps if the plastic "chrome" was black, perhaps that'd be better... but now that I see what that looks like I don't think so. You'd think they'd make an LED taillight assembly that didn't look like crap. Well, here's hoping.
