Default 2005 Mustang V6 Choice of Superchargers

I've got a 2005 V6. I've been considering installing a Procharger until I watched a friend put one on his 2006 4.6. It took way more time then expected. The fit was extremely tight and after the install, the tune was bad. Took a week to get it running right. What's your opinion on the best supercharger for a V6?

depends... what are you goals and what are the main features your are looking for? All the systems have their pros and cons...

Low down power and efficiency.

It seems that Centrifugals are readily applicable to the V6.

But whilst efficient, provide higher up power.

Roush? Do they even make for V6?

Ditto Saleen.

Whipples.....probably the best as they use Blower technology but cost a pretty penny.

Anyone??

Check out the X-Charger at www.explorerexpress.com

I am gonna order one of those up pretty soon.

You can find a bunch of info over at http://www.mustangcollective.com/index.php

They provide boost down low so its better for a daily driver. I really dont know much about these as i haven't installed one yet. But check out that forum, a lot of the guys have one.

Yep... the X-Charger may be a good choice... As long as you not looking for all out power...

If you are looking for the most power look at the Procharger or the Vortech HO kits... Better yet, you might want to consider the Powerhouse single turbo!!

The X-Charger may make more boost down low but they currently do not have an intercooler option so you are limited in the amount of power your going to get... Only real option would be to do water/meth injection as your "cooler".

I've got the Vortech HO kit and with a set of 3.73s in the back I have plenty power...

Does Paxton make a CF kit for the V6? I've only seen one for the V8.
