Is there anything that you vert owners don't like about it being a convertible? What are the downsides if any? I am seriously thinking about trading the 06 I just bought for a new vert. I really enjoy driving this car and with weather like we had today, I can't think of anything reasonable that would make it better than to be in the wind so to speak.

With 46k on the clock, my hood is starting to look pretty bad as it is, she covers the paint ships. Heck, I'm now on my 3rd windshield and it's not looking too good either...

Janeails22x- The painted headlight buckets? I had them done a while back but in hindsight I wish I had tried to do it myself or spent the money elsewhere.

Having to have a rollbar when you are faster than 13.5 REALLY sucks. I'm shopping for one now and they're not cheap.

1) Vandermey....that is one hot looking car. For me it would be perfect if the hood scoops were black as well. But the way it is certainly makes it look very "muscle car" like, which I assume is the look you like. I LOVE the red painted brake calipers, especially on a black car. If I do decide to make this purchase and it's black, that's the first thing I am going to have done. Your car must turn heads all the time.

2) Titans....other than you liking a really rotten football team...lol...your car looks great. Is that the Saleen edition ? While I love it, I don't think I will be pouring out 60 grand for that model....lol.

3) 2horseowner.....love the torch red with the black interior. Really sharp looking car. However I can't decide what I like better, the torch red 'stang or Miss San Diego....lol.

4) rcm - Usually I am not a fan of black rims, but for some reason they look really hot on your black Mustang. I'm not sure I have seen a rim yet that looks bad on the new generation Mustang.

5) Roper....nice looking car, I'm really starting to like that Redfire color. Nice rims too.

Anyway....if anyone else has pics keep 'em coming. I will look at non-vert pics too !

Thanks again !
Thank you for the compliments on my car. I have been known to turn a head or two when I drive by or when I show her. Yes, I was going for the muscle car look with a bit of uniqueness (can not be like everyone else). Again, thanks. Good luck in your quest.

In my opinion, nothing beats having a vert. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I started to buy a coupe, but just had to see a vert in person before I made my decision...once I saw a vert, the decision was made.

The only draw back in my book is the security issue. Soft tops are often the victim vandelism and such. Another down side would be if you live in an area known for unexpected downpours, a soft top can be a bit of a problem.

I personally love everything about a vert...including the lines with top up or down, wind blowing through my hair, sun on my face....verts are way too cool.

Here's my tungsten gray with upgraded red leather interior. One either hates it or loves it. I happen to love it.

custom done at an interior shop here in toronto. i told them exactly what i wanted and they pulled it off to a T. i really love the interior...its has really set my car apart from alot of the crowd. still havent seen a GT in person with a custom interior. i think if you get a vert you have to either get the interior upgrade from Ford or get it done yourself IMO. with the top down you wouldnt believe how many people comment on the interior of the car, they love it!

titans....that is what I had originally envisioned with my interior when I was told that Ford offered a two-tone interior (except I want in red/black). I lik emy interior upgrade, but I would have preferred it to look like yours...nic eowrk, excellent attention to detail. If I did not already have the factroy upgraded interior, I would be doing the same exact thing.

Swede I would love to see a bigger picture of your ride if you have one. Looks really nice from the avatar.

Black is the best color for almost any car...

There is a pre-nup though - you will have to promise to wash it, polish it, remove dust and generally spend quality time with it... Other colors are more forgiving of mild neglect...

mr v....the interior from ford totally matches the colour scheme for your car, it was as if they designed it particularly for your ride. if ford offered different colour options for the interior of their cars i would have probably went that route for the seats (since i would have saved some major coin). but i still would have had the steering wheel, shifter boot, and parking brake boot done.

+1

My roll bar for the vert is going to cost as much as a used coupe!

(I could not bring myself to put a roll bar in the the vert...)
